Sample Excerpts

Knowledge Is Power

It is simply imperative in this age of constant changes, that we must not only have a foundation of knowledge acquired from a formal education that ends with high school. Whether we expect it or not people now have to challenge themselves to keep learning new skills and acquire more knowledge just to keep up with everyday life. More adults are entering into learnign projects voluntarily either for occupational or recreational reasons. The technological revolution has made continuing training a necessity. In a few years, if you don't have computer and internet skills, you are going to be left behind almost as much as anyone who is illiterate. Therefore, the more knowledge and skills you develop, the more valuable you become. Receptiveness to new knowledge, and a self dicipline is needed to not become set in your ways. You need to want to inject new ideas into your life.

Dreams

How many people can truly say, "I am living my dream life"? The messages are always there in pharses like "believe to achieve", "follow you're heart", "don't give up your dreams". Milestone birthdays or New Year's Eve seem to be when most of us re-evaluate our stock in life. It's a quest to actually reach out for what we dream. To find the possibility and potential for goals that satisfy our wants and needs to be happy. However, they sometimes seem to slip by us unexplored. It's almost as if our internal compass fails to warn us when we are going in the wrong direction and we become misguided, concerning the gifts we were meant to share and understand.
