WHAT AM I GETTING INTO?

OR THE INTRODUCTION

"THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS . . . "

How many times have you heard this rumble deep inside your Being? How many times has this thought kept you going, pushing past pain and barriers, into a new phase of life? How many times -when external forces have said, "That's all there is"- have your insides cried out for something more?

Some of us have a personal history or herstory of feeling "different": of not really belonging in the traditional systems of schooling, religion, relationshipping, and work. While we may have tried to fit in and feel, act, and think "normal," in certain moments and times a deeper part of ourselves would jump out and proclaim "I AM!" This "I AM" would make waves and force issues. It would think, feel, and act in ways that others would raise an eyebrow to, call us names, and exit right out of our lives.

My I AM, SOUL, HIGHER or TRUE SELF never would stay buried or even quiet for very long. Just when I would have this "being like others" stuff down, out of my mouth and behaviors would pop some sort of contradicting thought, feeling, and truth that would expose me for what I really am: an evolving Soul who just can't quit. For many years, I had no conscious idea as to where these different thoughts, feelings, and behaviors came from. I tried my best as a child to hide from what I now know were psychic and spiritual abilities. But at age twenty, my Soul would no longer take NO for an answer. It was then that I claimed my "strangeness," beginning an extensive and continual search to understand the fullness of myself and the whole of life.

Twenty-five years ago simply claiming that eating a semivegetarian, natural foods diet was a healthy choice proved risky. The putdowns and rejections were plentiful. Yet today, it is a well-known fact. Yes, today there is so much more available in literature and workshops throughout the world covering physical and mental health and fitness. The Body-Mind Connection actually makes the news and the mainstream ads these days. However, it is still relatively risky to tell everyone I meet that I talk with spirits, healed my dog's abscess with my hands, and can know who they are and what they have been through by reading their energy body. These skills and much more have become a natural part of my daily, very human life. They represent a few of the natural abilities every single one of us Souls in human form have waiting to be developed, if we choose so.

I've discovered that all the existential questions, such as "Who Am I? Is there a God? Have I existed before?" and then some, can be answered and, more importantly, can be directly experienced. The knowledge behind those answers can then be utilized in our daily lives. In fact, in order to be whole or "holy healthy," tools and skills that integrate that cosmic knowledge have to be utilized and expanded as we grow along. The Human Potential Movement has encouraged us as humans to recognize that we have all the potential in the world to be totally healthy, which includes incredibly creative and awesomely prosperous. Yet, we humans have also shown each other that we can be incredibly destructive and awesomely unhappy. The point is that we do indeed have a personal, interpersonal, and planetary choice!

Personally, it has taken me years and years (as well as quite a few life times) of external research, inward searching, and reworking of my thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to truly believe and know that every one of us has a real quality of life choice and to understand what that choice is all about. Believing that we have the choice of living life joyfully in its fullest - with loving respect towards Earth, all of its creatures and other inner and outer worlds - is in itself quite a feat. It requires us to move beyond what most of us are taught by "mass consciousness" about life.

We have to change most aspects of how we think, feel, and behave acquiring mind, body, and spirit skills that science is still confused about and that, in the past, have been relegated to those few and rare geniuses. After my personal search and witnessing the search of many others, I can honestly and forthrightly say: "Genius, recognize yourself!" Yes, I am writing about YOU . . .

Through Science we've learned that most of us are using only 1/10 - 1/4 of our potential brain-power. Throughout the centuries, Mystics of many religions and belief systems have demonstrated unlimited powers of mind and spirit. Christianity's Jesus The Christ proclaims "all this and more." Throughout human history are reminders that there are higher abilities and skills that are ours for the development.

Yet, there are also reminders of powers gone awry, of widespread misinformation and confusion about the development of "Higher Abilities," and a lack of motivation to live in wholeness. This is based on disbelief, mistrust, and a lack of general knowledge in all we need to know in order to be able to choose to live in true health, love, and prosperity. Many systems of wellness are being taught that are based on real limited definitions of health. As a result the statistics for illness and dis-ease, for mental and emotional difficulties, including addictions, and for social and planetary dysfunction and destruction continue to rise.

It is time for us all to quit hiding under the guise "Is it scientifically proven?" Does our planet, our world and you have the time to wait until that magical and illusive "proof of the pudding" is documented in enough ways and enough decades to get through all of our defenses and mistrusts? If we humans are going to break through our barriers of ignorance and arrogance, then each one of us needs to access The Scientist, The Shaman, The Mystic and The Prophet inside ourselves in order to become part of the proof.

There is an incredible amount of knowledge and techniques to learn that will, can, and do enable us to attain wholeness. This wholeness includes all the happiness, health, and prosperity that accompanies a way of life that is connected with our True Self, our Soul expressing through our Higher Self, as the God/Goddess Life Force Energy. So many of us are awakening to the awareness that there is indeed a healthier way to be on this planet we inhabit currently. Presently, there are available numerous workshops, retreats, conferences, books, audio tapes, videos, computer programs, web sites, therapists, teachers, and guides designed to enable us to discover and develop our potentials.

While this is exciting, it also gets confusing with many of us feeling lost as to what direction to attune to, what to follow, what to believe, and what to incorporate into our own lives. This confusion is a result of the patterns of self-denial and the disconnection we have been taught between the physical, mental, spiritual and Soulfull aspects of our Being. Most of us are out of touch with ourselves and our natural abilities to tune in and receive the HIGHER GUIDANCE and information that is available and designed for our own unique selves. We are not consciously aware of THE STAGES OF EVOLUTIONARY SOUL DEVELOPMENT we all can intentionally move through. Therefore, we cannot appropriately assess our current, or this lifetime's, SOUL PURPOSE AND TASKS.

Many are very wary of techniques and tools of self-transformation that have been labeled "New Age." Ancient history through to our present shows us that there is nothing new about EVOLVING SOULS and the basic methods available to understand and consciously connect with the omnipresent Whole Creative Life Force, named by many as "GOD."
