About the Book

Life's Moments: A Story of My Life's Relationships in the Form of Poetry is Thaddaeus D. Caldwell's riveting collection of poetry that, when read as a book, will produce an intriguing tale of love and passion both lost and gained.

About the Author

Thaddaeus Caldwell, now 21, was born on January 17, 1980 and raised in Springfield, Mass. He still resides there today. He loves to write poetry, good or bad. It is a way to vent anger, heartache, pain, and just whatever is on his mind. It's also a way to tell people how he's feeling. This book has taken him six years to complete, and was finished on July 13, 2000, while he was still 20. Thad, which is what most of his friends call him, is an active member in the Army National Guard. He is not married and has no children. He also plays semi-pro football for a local team. He describes himself as a "spontaneous" person.

Excerpts

Life's Moments
These are the times I write about the good, the bad, the ugly, and
the sad
Boy what a rough life I've had
When times were hard and times were rough
Those are the moments that made me tough
I'm giving you little bits and pieces of my life
Life's moments are good and bad
But hey it can always get worse
Live life one step at a time
Try to enjoy the time you have here
Life is short
So have no regrets about the past
Live life to the fullest
And intake the good and the bad of Life's Moments

Set Me Free
Set me free
The world I want to see
You've got me tied down
You have me stuck in this same old town
It's like a recurring bad dream
If you keep holding me down I'm gonna scream
Why do you keep me down in these shackles and chains
I'm so stressed out I'm in the break down lane
They say if you love someone set them free
I guess you really don't love me
I don't know if you love me so
But sometimes you just have to let go
You have to break the walls around your so-called treasure
The gains you might find it can't measure
Put your overpowering command to rest
It's time to set me free and do what's best

Boiling Point
I'm at the boiling point and I can't take anymore
My feelings have already hit the floor
I've had it up to here
If I drank it would be time for another beer
My top is about to blow
You're always saying you didn't know
I'm to the point I'm about to explode
I'm at an emotional overload
These things you have done to me I just can't take
I'm starting to think that ever meeting you was a mistake
I've been pushed to the brink
The water has overflowed in my sink
All this pressure built up
There's a crack in my cup
It's about to blow my mind
I've found myself in quite a bind
I've had it up to here with you
This is what it all boils down to
