Orchestrating ArtEvents is a comprehensive, in-depth look into the dilemmas and ambiguities that surround the process of interacting with art. If the Romantic is the ground term of the four Sexual Styles, and the female is the ground term of gender (Horner-a, p. 164), then the Romantic Female embodies the basic foundation for human stylistics in general. Even a brief look at the advertising world would seem to confirm that this is exactly where the most prevalent, subliminal motivational output resides.
"The rules of an infinite game must change in the course of play." (p. 9) In an infinite game the rules must be changed when there is a danger of the play coming to an end, that is, becoming a finite game. The rules must prevent any one person from winning; they must encourage the bringing of as many persons as possible into the game. (page 180)
Active learners are advised to work in groups and share in recalling information, constructing explanations, predicting tasks, and applying the new content in life situations. Reflective learners are advised to make individual time for reflection when studying if the general classroom pace does not allow for it.
A student may be able to ask, "What style is best suited to facilitate my learning experience and outcomes?" and in reply, decide upon a single approach and ignore the others possibilities. However, while a teacher needs to ask this same egocentric question with reference to their comfort-style of teaching, they cannot answer with the same singularity. They must also ask, in fairness to the variety of students in any group, "What are all the possible styles that are available to facilitate everyone's learning?" and "How can I teach in such a way that all of these possibilities are not only made available, but fully intrinsic to the process?"
