About the Book

This book presents concepts and necessary suggestions for coping with cancer that could only be derived by someone who has lived with cancer for eighteen years. Mr. Dejka clearly has experienced many common problems that only a cancer patient would know. His 100 tips are each presented as independent ideas but they are really integrated into a total approach. Mr. Dejka has an approach that treats the total spirit, mind, and body.

This approach considers our relation with our creator. A positive attitude is a critical part of the treatment. It also discusses two critical elements - enzymes and detoxification. Without them a cure cannot be reached. Other suggestions include dealing with anemia, diet, juicing, indigestion and other supplement issues. One unique part of this book is Mr. Dejka's suggestions for dealing with your doctor and the medical community.

Lastly an integrated supplement program is presented. It is a program that takes supplements randomly rather than popping massive numbers of pills each day. The tips presented in this book are invaluable to anyone facing cancer today.

About the Author

The author is a systems engineer who conducted research for the U.S. Navy for nearly thirty years. This background gave him the mentality to creatively challenge what is status quo in the field of medicine. Driven by his own disease he started his study into cancer. At the age of 52 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and later at the age of 56 the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes resulting in serious stage IV cancer. A bleak future accelerated his study of methods of treating cancer.

His college field of study, Systems Engineering, integrates differing engineering concepts into sophisticated complex systems. This training into integration concepts is applied in treating cancer.

The author graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, the University of California, Los Angeles with an M.S. in Systems Engineering, and he pursued doctoral work in Systems Engineering at Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This training along with research experience (50 published papers) and as a reviewer of research at the UC-Berkley, MIT, USC, Texas Tech., and other colleges prepared him well to analyze and collate medical concepts for treating cancer.

He is a devoted family man with five children and ten grandchildren. He devotes his time today to helping with cancer support groups and other church related activities.

TIP 1.0 MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH YOUR MAKER

When cancer strikes, it is time to renew our relationship with our creator whether it is God, Allah, or the Force. Probably we have forgotten or ignored God's role in our life. So when cancer strikes begin to renew your personal relationship with God. He is there but only if we reach out to Him. It is time to ask forgiveness, demonstrate your faith in him and pray for guidance. God created us and wants us to be healed but He does require us to do two important things. First we must have faith in Him. This is not only critical to our well being in general but is a source of strength in the battle that we have begun. It's time to give glory and thanks to God. And now your cure is underway. The second thing that is critical to healing is listening to God's guidance. When decisions are important He will be there to show you the way. He will also guide the people who will be supporting you. Often you will get a gut feeling that a certain decision is not right or wrong and you will need help. Be open; trust God and you will have confidence in your decision. Some people might call this intuition but it sure helps in the decision making. When people face a serious disease, surgery, radiation or any major setback you will hear them say, "It is God's will." Or, "What will be, will be.". But this is a true defeatist attitude. The truth is that He wants us to be healed. When an airplane flies into a building it certainly wasn't God in control of the airplane. In control was a human being with a mind of his own. Similarly when a student shoots his classmates, it certainly wasn't God's will. So, when a man-made disease like cancer strikes, God will help us if we will let Him

NEVER LOSE FAITH!

TIP 6.0 A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

There is nothing more important than an aggressive approach to coping with your disease. You must take control of your own life. Most of us probably never had to worry about our health till this time. And now it's our responsibility. Get tough. Your life will change. This is a war. To succeed you must be strong. No fooling, it is up to you. So many times I will hear a patient say that they trust their doctor. That is desirable but he is not with you all day each day. Your doctor is only one small part of your battle against cancer. This struggle will require you to take the initiative all the time.

GO GET 'EM

TIP 10.0 VISUALIZATION, THINKING YOURSELF WELL

It takes some concentration to visualize a healing process but it can be done by anyone. When one is receiving chemotherapy simply consider the drug as a stream of brooms sweeping your cancer away. Some folks visualize a PACMAN gobbling up the tumor mass. Others envision a group of white knights, like natural killer cells, destroying the tumor masses. Regardless what you consider going on, it can be done while praying, meditating, exercising, or while receiving treatment.

TIP 13.0 BECOME A KNOW-IT-ALL

Once a disease such as cancer strikes you must become as knowledgeable about your disease as is possible. In fact it becomes a job that will last as long as the disease itself. Many patients assume that they don't need any knowledge or experience since they have an "excellent" doctor. But there are many times where your knowledge will become invaluable. It will be necessary to make decisions on types of treatment, length of treatment, and related topics on medicine. Evaluating the doctor's comments, immune system, and diet are a necessary part of defeating cancer. Don't duck a responsibility that only lies with the patient. And by the way, a cancer support group can be a great source of knowledge. Join a good group that provides information not sympathy.

TIP 15.0 ACTIVATE WITH ENZYMES

Enzymes along with detoxification (TIP 23.0) are the two most important principles in the fight against cancer. Enzymes are compounds that are absolutely necessary for our immune system to function. These keys to life have an important role in managing cancer. There are three primary sources of enzymes. 1.0 Food Enzymes. Fresh vegetables and fruit are loaded with enzymes. And, for this reason, fresh fruit and vegetables should be the primary item on your diet. Cooked vegetables do not have any enzymes. Vegetables that are quickly steamed retain some of their enzymes and could be included in your diet. These food enzymes also play a role in digesting food. 2.0 Digestive Enzymes. These are enzymes that are made by the pancreas. They help with digestion of fats, carbohydrates, and protein. These enzymes namely lipase, amylase, and proteases are available in supplements. The supplement Pancreatin or Pancreatic Acid is extensively used by the clinics in Mexico. They believe that pancreatin helps dissolve tumors. 3.0 Metabolic Enzymes. These enzymes are used throughout the body and keep our immune system in top shape. There are more than 3000 different kinds. One important example is the white cells known as natural killer cells. They use enzymes to remove and digest free radicals and cancer. They keep our immune system at high strength.
The enzymes to include in your program are:

  • Pancreatin
  • Bromelein
  • Papain (from papaya)
They can be taken at any time during the day.
