About the Book

The year is 2019. A new world order has come into existence. From the control center in Jerusalem, subordinate specialized towers located around the globe gather, and send information relevant to their function. This story relates closely to the great world medical tower located in Rochester, Minnesota.

Bar codes, unseen yet easily detected by modern scanners, make life easier and more convenient. Secretly, three high school seniors, best friends and neighbors, acquire the bar codes. Life becomes much better until they discover the bar code has a direct connection to the "666" of Bible prophecy.

Excerpt

Dr. Ling was credited with the bar code idea. It was only one of his many contributions to the medical profession. He was the master surgeon, and physician who had captivated Tori. Within a scrapbook she kept the many news clippings of his career. Some day, with study, and dedication, she might be privileged to meet this person.
The idea was simple, and the technology already existed. A bar code printed on the forehead, or hand. Invisible to the eye, but scanners could easily see it. It was a giant step forward for the world.
Stubborn old people held onto stubborn old ideas, and Granny Coco, was one of the many who objected. There would be no way that Tori could tell her of her decision to get the bar code on the forehead. Several of her friends had also elected to get bar codes, but most kept it a secret from concerned parents.
If only everyone would look closely at the records of Dr. Ling, they would understand his work better; a lifetime devoted to helping to make the world a much better, and safer place. How could anyone question his intentions? The bar code being put on the hand or head was a problem, but there was no other practical place to put it. Because of the convenient placement, people connected the bar code with the number 666 in Bible prophesy.
Now this was the question that had to be resolved. Should everything be kept secret until a later date, or should Tori forcefully tell her grandmother what she had done? Following that, she could provide a little history on Dr. Ling. There was absolutely no connection to a number 666.
