About the Book
Heroes On Quads is a story about how a group of civilian instructors hook up with an elite unit of Army special forces. Together they train and end up going toe to toe with the enemies of the United States.
The civilians are recruited to teach the soldiers how to ride ATV's (All Terrain Vehicles). The soldiers teach the civilians how to be soldiers.
The book is in two parts. In book one, the team is formed. In cooperation with the private sector a couple of models of high performance ATV's are developed and produced for the US Army. Honda and Palaris team up with army design engineers to do this.
Civilian pro racers are recruited from all over the country. Individually they are great riders. When they come together a sort of magic happens - they become a force to reckon with. What starts out as a job to train the soldiers how to ride soon, through a series of events, puts the soldiers and their instructors on a couple of missions together. They stopped terrorist infiltration into the US. On the second mission they went to the Philipines to try to capture a terrorist leader. They succeed and a whole lot more.
In book two the civilian instructors are once again called upon. They train a growing quad unit on two new more powerful ATV's. They train half of the unit on the new quads. Then they must travel to Turkey and then Iraq to train the rest of the force. The next thing you know the instructors are fully involved with operations. See what they do to become heroes.

Foreword
On September 11, 2001, terrorists tried to destroy the American way of life. All they really did is just piss us off. We are a strong country. We have shown in the past we will do anything to preserve our rights and freedom and will not cower down to terrorists that threaten us. In fact, when push comes to shove they picked on wrong people. We will hunt you down and destroy you like the rabid dogs that you are. Freedom though comes with a high price bought and paid for by those before us, those of us now and unfortunately, those after us. However, it is a fight worth fighting and as a veteran, I'm proud of those willing to stand up to protect us - to preserve our freedoms and pursue our dreams. In this book, I hope to show how ingenuity helps accomplish our goals. I'm going to incorporate the bravery of our soldiers with vehicles that up until now have been mostly used for sport, the ATV or as some call them quads or four wheelers. I will try to show how some talented and brave individuals work with the ATVs to fight terrorism across the world. It won't be an easy fight, but things worth fighting for seldom ever are.
I would like to take this time to thank all of those involved in protecting this country. A monumental task confronts them. We owe you so much.
Preface to Part II In Part I you were introduced to a new tool that our military uses to fight the enemies of our country. Along with these tools we were introduced to the men that made them work. You were taken from an idea through training and onto a couple of successful missions that probably saved thousands of lives. In these uncertain times we live in it's good to know there are people out there putting it on the line for us every day. In this book you will revisit players from the first book and meet some new ones. I will try to show you the versatility of our machines and men in some different ways. You know war is hell. People getting maimed and people dying. Let us not forget those who died for us. I encourage all Americans to be the best that they can be. Don't be afraid to show your love for your family, for your country and for your lives. Live it to the fullest. I hope you enjoy reading my book. If you do, tell a friend. They might like it too. This is just my way of showing others what I feel about us.
