About the Book
Death of a Criminal Justice System discusses many areas of our society such as street gangs, domestic violence, murder, the death penalty, gun control, the media, education issues, discrimination, jails and prisons, law enforcement, and other concerns which have a direct or indirect impact on our problems with crime. Also examines the impact of sloppy immigration procedure in regards to 911.
About the Author
Daryl LaDon is a first time author and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and of five different police departments from the Washington D.C. area to central California. Daryl is no longer active in organized law enforcement but feels there is an urgent need to identify some of the reasons our so-called Criminal Justice System has failed and how it can realistically be repaired. He makes no attempts to be politically correct. He tells it like it is!

excerpt from Chapter 1: The Violence
Theodore (TED) Bundy was an habitual student, as female victims were readily available on any college campus. It is probable that Bundy killed at least 40 females between the ages of 14 and 40 in the states of Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Florida. Most of his victims were sexually assaulted prior to being brutally murdered.
Bundy had removed the front right seat of his VW beetle in order to afford that entire side of the vehicle to transport his victims, which he selected at random for his morbid pleasure.
Some victims were buried in shallow graves in remote areas, but most were just dumped like garbage in wilderness areas where the elements and/or animals helped dispose of their bodies beyond identification. Only one intended victim is known to have survived and she lived to testify against him.
Bundy was eventually convicted of murder and met his ultimate fate in Florida's electric chair after spending in excess of 12 years on death row. Our so called CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM in action. Bundy was an animal and finally received his just reward.

Most all crimes in todays world are more vicious than in the past. Murder, rape, robbery, child abuse, gang related crimes, and also drug crimes, which the pin head bureaucrats would have you believe are not crimes of violence. Even burglary, which in the past did not result in violence, has changed dramatically. The assholes are no longer content to commit their crimes unless they abuse, maim, torture, or kill their victims.
Don't let the bureaucrats intimidate you with their statistics, which, if properly used, can usually prove or dis-prove anything. Crime, and especially violent crime, has become a plague and a serious financial burden in our society. Since we have poured billions of taxpayer dollars into the so-called "war on drugs", there are more illegal drugs and drug dealers than ever before. The same situation is evolving in the war on crime. The bureaucrats believe that Mr. and Mrs. America are idiots who can be silenced, as long as they can be convinced that this last bit of taxpayer dollars will correct the problem. Money cures everything, right?

Abraham Lincoln is credited with the statement; "let the people know the facts and the country will be saved". The people, however, are not being given the facts about the continuing crime problem in this country. They are being fed only a steady stream of medicine man gobley-gook. Violent crime, as well as other crime, will never be eradicated but it can be significantly reduced within a reasonable period and to a greater extent over the long haul. In order to make an impact, however, our bureaucrats, whether elected, appointed or anointed, will have to cease their hocus-pocus and get to the nitty gritty of the problem.
excerpt from Chapter 10: Social Services
Our government is still paying farmers for not growing specific crops. It has become such a lucrative method of legally looting the Federal Treasury that large agricultural conglomerates now cash in on land holdings, on land which they never intended to grow anything, in order to be compensated by the Federal Government for not growing specific crops. It's like taking candy from a baby. The smaller type farmers, for which the subsidy program was initiated, are no longer a factor.
There are many other methods of easing taxpayer dollars into the pockets of special interest groups. The Department of Agriculture spent millions to promote the production and sale of tobacco products while the Department of Health and Human Services spent millions to advise the public that tobacco products are disastrous to our health. The price of peanuts, milk, and wool and a host of other products are artificially supported by our Federal Government, which also spends millions to promote the sale of select products abroad when such promotions should be the burden of the companies that reap the benefits. This is a form of corporate welfare.
excerpt from Chapter 13: The Bureaucrats
The United States congress, the highest legislative body in the country, will probably not concede the fact that they are the prime facilitators in the escalation of crime throughout the country. Between the two legislative bodies, the US Senate and the House of Representatives, we've have Iran-Contra and the Clarence Thomas - Anita Hill hearings which, at a ridiculous cost to the taxpayers, proved nothing to anyone. It appears that the congress holds hearings when it's politically correct, but not necessarily when they actually serve a purpose. We've had the check-kiting and House Post Office scandals and have been fed a steady diet of Bob Packwoods sexual harassment antics.
Our elected representatives, until recently had determined to exempt themselves from many of the laws they force upon the rest of the taxpayers, like the sexual harassment legislation. They've had the audacity to provide themselves with free or outrageously low cost perks that must be paid for by the taxpayers while those same taxpayers can not begin to afford such amenities for themselves.
excerpt from Chapter 14: Immigration
What's the logic in having laws that penalize private enterprise if they hire illegal aliens while permitting these same illegal aliens to have access to all the goodies, such as a drivers license, education (sometimes in their own language), health care at taxpayers expense, and most of the other amenities of a United States citizen? Wouldn't it be logical to stop illegals at the time they apply for such amenities, rather than place the burden on private enterprise? To permit illegals to have any of the benefits of this country while other foreigners are waiting in line to legally enter, is a form of oppression of legal immigrant applicants.
Among the legal and illegal, there are many destitute and deserving aliens but there is also the criminal element that exploit their own down trodden for personal gain. In order to reasonably process legal applicants we must slow down the process and stop the flow of illegals.
Don't bug the Dr. Feelgood weasel words that immigrants founded this nation and therefore it's in our best interest to accept all aliens. That's a bunch of horse hockey. These are different times, with different circumstances and we no longer have the resources to open our doors to all the tired and huddled masses.
