About the Author Reverend Robert Long was born in 1929 and raised in the 1930's. His love of life began early in life, he tried to play professional baseball, instead he joined the U.S. Navy and held various occupations until he entered the ministry in his 30's. He has never lost his love of baseball or of his favorite baseball club- the New York Giants.
