INTRODUCTION

We are at the threshold of the Information Age in which tremendous mass of data move at electronic speed. Man has to rely on automated deciphering and speedy interpretation to comprehend his information. The problem of sifting truth and honest intent behind messages have exponentially increased. Hence, it is easier to make innocent mistakes now than ever before. The gains from the Information Age were great, but the failures due to mistakes were inevitable, too. Machines built with automated intelligence and the information technology have come of age to have unlimited possibilities.

Empires fell due to mistakes and sins in the past. The entire civilization is precariously approaching dangerous mistakes of catastrophic consequences. The need to clear the awareness to outpace and remove the growing chances of harmful mistakes is crucial now, more than ever. This is the primary reason I wrote this book. It is not the nuclear bomb and other sophisticated weapons that are dangerous today. It is the man who is going to use them by mistake!

CHAPTER ONE
Affirming the Holy Spirit

The Spirit filled all with his radiance. He is incorporeal and invulnerable, pure and untouched by evil.

ISA UPANISHAD

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

JOHN 4:24

Let us briefly review the great milestones recorded in the history of man since the dawn of civilization. These milestones were the rise of man from the grip of ignorance, growth of his intelligence, his early communions with the Spirit and most significantly, the growth of his freedom in a free and democratic society. Man evolved spiritually and intellectually. Today, we witness the economic and political stability brought about by man's evolution in free and wealthy nations. This growth in spirit and intelligence can take place in every nation of the world. The potential to live a better life is latent in everyone.

-*-

The history of civilization also richly recorded man's search for truth and ultimate reality. Epistemology questioned language and symbols as representations of truth and the validity of human knowledge. Science investigated matter in its finer layers to discover the fundamental laws of nature. Religion preached divine truths and revelations through belief and faith in God, intuition and mystic knowledge of the Spirit. The predominant questions raised were: Is ultimate reality knowable? Is our knowledge of God true and valid?

-*-

Man collects his information through the senses directly or indirectly, by faith, intuition or mystic experience. Objective and subjective knowledge of the same object sometimes produce different impressions and values in different individuals. The ambiguity of knowledge is further compounded by the lack of certainty. On the other hand, although intuitive and mystic knowledge is received directly in the awareness of truthful individuals, it is doubted and unfortunately rejected by those who believe only what they see. And so, men and women continue to disagree when truth hides behind the vehicle of communication and the Spirit remains obscure in the awareness.

What then is available to man in order to renew and re-establish his faith in others and, above all, in his God?

-*-

An experiential method to know God has been available to man even before the birth of Jesus Christ. The daily practice of allowing man's awareness to elevate towards the mystic knowledge of the Holy Spirit has been taught by teachers of yoga since 150 BC. These teachers, however, did not realize then that their early practices would provide the foundation for one that is pertinent to the spiritual teachings of Bhagavad Gita and the Holy Bible. The practice is scientific because it involves and starts from the senses and it can open man's unlimited potentials in his awareness and intelligence. This practice is available to anyone regardless of religion or ethnicity. The religious connotation of the word mystic somehow prevents the universal acceptance of the practice. It is truly scientific that one does each practice as a daily experiment and research in the field of awareness.

-*-

The practice of allowing the awareness to elevate into higher and more encompassing levels is the path to the Holy Spirit. The practice may somewhat vary according to the technique used and one's religious orientation; but the goal is the same. However, the ease and effectiveness of the actual practice determine the extent and spontaneity of the benefits that can be gained. By the grace of the Holy Spirit, the path is shown to man either directly by Him or by enlightened men and women according to established rituals and personal instructions.

-*-

Recent studies and research in the Unified Field of Quantum Physics and Supergravity Theory (extension of Einstein's Theory of Relativity) noted that the awareness of the observer interacted with the functioning of energy in the Unified Field. The energy being observed came alive from a vacuum or state of potentiality and behaved according to the laws of nature. The Physicists who conducted the research described the phenomena as self-referral (self as the observer interacting with the functioning or behavior of the object being observed). This research proved that mind and matter (subject and object) reside in the unified field level in a state of potentiality as one entity.

-*-

The foregoing research and the ones conducted later by Dr. Robert K. Wallace and other scientists about the brain and human consciousness, proved the following:

1. The Cleared/Elevated Awareness called transcendental consciousness is also the Unified Field discovered by the research in Quantum Physics. It is also the level where matter and its functioning emerge.

2. Man's potentials reside in his awareness and have no limits. The storehouse of gifts from the Holy Spirit is waiting to be tapped in the awareness.

3. Ultimate reality and God can be known by man in a state of Cleared/Elevated Awareness.

4. Man's Cleared/Elevated Awareness has a positive influence to his environment as the experiments in the Unified Field have verified and proven.

5. Man's fulfillment in spiritual and material life is inherently possible in states of Cleared/Elevated Awareness.

6. The Holy Spirit is knowable in a state of Pure Awareness.

7. More significantly, the Unified Field which is also the state of Cleared/Elevated Awareness, had been and still is the open avenue for healing the body and spirit and the fulfillment of desires and yearnings of the heart.

-*-

For brevity, let me refer to "Cleared/Elevated Awareness" as C/EA from here on. One interesting observation demonstrating the self-referral nature of the observer and the observed was noted by an obstetrician, when he saw the baby in the mother's womb covering his private part with his hands, while viewing the baby to determine his sex on a computer monitor. The phenomena proved that (1) the baby was aware that he was being observed, (2) the awareness of being observed and the impulse of protecting his privacy were the baby's interactions to the observer's unwelcome observation.

Knowledge of truth and ultimate reality, therefore, is structured in the awareness.

-*-

It is beginning to appear that mystic knowledge, intuition and faith are better instruments for validating truth than the so-called objective knowledge. Allow me, then, to draw some valid conclusions about awareness as the path to man's fulfillment. My intuition and mystic experiences, please trust me, reveal that there are essentially three levels of awareness inherent in every man:

Level 3: Sensory Awareness State of wakefulness where the senses are open and one performs normal activity; this includes the state of suspended activity in sleep when the body is resting. This is also the source of one's intelligence and skills during activity.

Level 2: Cleared and Elevated Awareness This is the state of man's awareness where man's potential for fulfillment and happiness in life is opened by the grace of the Holy Spirit. This is the state referred to as the Unified Field by the research and findings in Quantum Physics mentioned earlier in this chapter.

Level 1: Pure Awareness This is the level of experience where man spiritually becomes one with the Holy Spirit and acquires the potential power of the Spirit. Since only good can come from the Spirit, this state is attainable only by holy men and women who devote their lives not only to live a perfect life but also to serve unselfishly for the wellbeing of mankind.

Depending on one's desires in life, the benefits from the above levels are incrementally fulfilled. And, potentially, there is no limit (not even the sky) to what the Spirit can give by His grace in answer to one's desires and prayers. Realizing the coming together of knowledge about creation in science and mystic knowledge and faith in the Holy Spirit is, indeed, a great milestone in the history of mankind. The source of doubts by believers and non-believers have now been removed. My experiences of C/EA have firmly established my intuitive and mystic understanding of the divine truths contained in the Holy Bible.

-*-

In the following page, I have tabulated the attributes of the Holy Spirit found in the Holy Bible to show their parallels to the analytical interpretation of results from experiments in the Unified Field supported by Dr. Wallace. I have shown only the salient attributes to highlight the interesting parallels between our faithfully intuitive and mystic knowledge of the Holy Spirit and the current scientific insights about the self-referral truths of creation and the Creator:

I have presented a graphic model of awareness of the Holy Spirit.

In the model, I depicted the growth of awareness in only three levels, i.e., first (Level 3): The level of Sensory Awareness, self, iness, myness, I; second (Level 2): The level of C/EA in which the clouds blocking the awareness begin to dissolve, boundaries to innate possibilities begin to break, and awareness of the Holy Spirit begins to emerge and grow; and third (Level 1): The level of Pure Awareness in which the Holy Spirit is fully realized in man's being, attainable by holy and devout men and women who have dedicated and lived their lives in the ultimate goodness of the Holy Spirit for themselves and the world.

I shall dwell on Levels 2 and 3 of Awareness in the following chapters of this book.

I am affirming my mystic knowledge of the existence and nature of God, according to the light that His Spirit has bestowed on me.

-*-

There are standard methods in science and forms of assertions in philosophy to state conclusions validating and establishing truth. Science arrives at and establishes truth from cause to effect. The truth of the cause can also be concluded from its effect. This other form of reasoning is also valid. It is this latter form of scientific reasoning that I shall follow to affirm the Holy Spirit.

-*-

I have noted that, from the findings in Quantum Physics mentioned earlier, energy created due to the observer's awareness in the Unified Field behaved as it did (according to the laws of nature) only because of a greater awareness that made or allowed this phenomenon to occur. Man's sensory awareness may be capable of creating energy at the level of creation but the intelligence present in the symmetric functioning of created energy can only come from a higher awareness. This awareness is C/EA. Sensory intelligence is inherent in sensory awareness. Elevated Intelligence is inherent in C/EA. Pure Intelligence is inherent in Pure Awareness. These parallel conclusions at the different levels of awareness are valid. Bhagavad Gita affirmed that levels of awareness exist and explained further that awareness is different at different levels and entities of creation. Nature's intelligence is structured hierarchically from the most fundamental level of creation through its successive levels of reality or being. God conceived the whole structure in His mind and the Holy Spirit orchestrates the whole functioning of nature. The life of created beings is bound within the infinite power of the Holy Spirit at different levels. The power of the Spirit is exercised at hierarchical levels of authority (author in authority means creator): Pure Awareness has authority over C/EA; C/EA has authority over Sensory Awareness. The discovery of the self-referral nature of energy in the Unified Field of Quantum Physics and Supergravity Theory confirmed the path between man and his God. By treading in this path, man can reach the Holy Spirit, receive and enjoy the fruits by His grace.

-*-

In conclusion of this chapter, I have presented a table below in order to depict the growth of man's awareness in the path towards the experience of the Holy Spirit. This table is based on Chart 1. Model of Awareness of Holy Spirit which I presented earlier:

-*-

To some individuals, the experience of C/EA happens unexpectedly and innocently by grace of the Holy Spirit. To others, the door is opened in their search for Him. One begins to receive the Holy Spirit in the state of C/EA in different circumstances. I have experienced the state of C/EA when I was only about six years old by the grace of the Holy Spirit. I did not fully understand why I received this gift until later in life. The following chapters of this book shall provide the answer to this question. I continued the experiences of C/EA using a technique and program that I developed based on my initial experiences. My technique is the easiest and most unique I know today since the practice began thousands of years ago. This book is a prerequisite and foundation to learning my program. I am making this program available to those who need support, sufficiency and affluence from the Holy Spirit for the first time, and to those who desire to strengthen and fulfill their faith. I shall present the principles and practice of clearing the awareness in my next book.

Life continued to be more fulfilling for me and my family by the grace of the Holy Spirit.

CHAPTER TWO
Affirming Man in God's Image

-*-

Know thyself!

ORACLE AT DELPHI

There is but one cause of human failure and that is man's lack of faith in his true Self.

WILLIAM JAMES

Let us briefly review the two conflicting views about the origin of man. The first is based on the Bible's claim that man was created by God in His image. The second arose from Darwin's claim that man descended from the apes.

Allow me, first, to walk you through the case made by Darwin and supporters of his theory:

* Speculated to have begun over two million years ago and continued in diverse stages, a process of natural selection along with psychic and intellectual evolution transformed the ape to man.

* Evolution in plants and lower animals, in Darwin's mind, is a phenomenon that cannot be denied. It provided the foundation of his case. There were traces, skulls and fossil found that appeared to support the claim.

-*-

Darwin's theory does not hold up because of lack of direct scientific proof especially when extending it to the origin of man. The evolutionary trend that he suggested does not appear to continue to the present time. We still see apes and chimpanzees in their natural habitats and habits. Evolution by natural selection is not compatible with the principles of genetics discovered by Mendel. Neither is it compatible with the nature and structure of DNA discovered by four scientists - Watson, Crick, Wilkins and Franklin. Their work which began around 1950 won immediate acceptance and recognition by 1962. Darwin admitted himself that there is no known form intermediate between man and the ape.

Let me therefore, conclude, that the theory claiming man descended from the ape is not valid.

-*-

Let us examine the divine origin of man. The analysis and interpretation of scientific evidence based on the Unified Field Theory in Quantum Physics lean toward and support the divinity of man's spirit. The divine spirit in every human being and its inherent freedom is consistent with its origin as told in the Bible. There is no other story of man's beginning that is more relevant to the nature of man as we know it in our present life. Because of the lack of evidence, tracing man's history to his beginning always ends in begging the question. But we can infer man's beginning from his divine nature. Through mystic experiences, man has known and lived his divine nature. The Bible supports man's divine nature. To conclude that the origin of man is true, symbolically or otherwise, according to the Bible is therefore valid.

Allow me then to affirm man's beginning according to the Holy Scripture. God created the first man (Adam) and the first woman (Eve) in His image. Since God is also the Holy Spirit, He gave spirit to Adam and Eve. The original spirit was the Elevated Awareness I described in the first chapter. Adam and Eve also had sensory awareness inherent in their bodies but they were innocent and indifferent to the pleasures of the senses in the beginning. They were therefore naked and had no shelter because Eden provided all the comfort and sufficiency they needed. The Holy Spirit spontaneously provided for them.

-*-

With spirit, God gave Adam and Eve freedom to live it as they wished. God left it to them to decide everything they have to do as part of their life's design. Therefore, God already knew that whenever man would decide to use his freedom, he is bound to commit mistakes because, as we have learned in Chapter One, perceptions of truth on the sensory level can mislead. Man, then, must learn from his mistakes. Freedom, like the senses, can lead to good or evil. God knows that man always has the option to live within the good or righteous side of life. The fall of man was not an accident. The spiritual evolution and journeys that man would later take in life to return to his elevated Self have been laid out in the blueprint of his destiny. The final destiny is the same for all men, but the return to elevated life is as unique as the individual (like his DNA).

-*-

The Awareness of the first man and woman I have described above agrees with the self-referral attributes of the Unified Field in Quantum Physics and the Level 2 Awareness I have depicted in Chapter One. God had a specific DNA and levels of awareness in His mind for each man and woman who would later come into being. Each man's DNA is unique and each man's relation to God through the Spirit is one to one. However, it is only man's free spirit in sensory life that will bring him back to God's self-sufficiency.

-*-

Life for Adam and Eve became an opportunity for discovery in the material world. To any temptation, curiosity is a natural response from anyone who is innocent and does not know what to expect. Curiosity, hundreds of years later, was a gift to scientists and mankind because it lead them to discoveries that made life easier, healthier and more comfortable. However, the curiosity that would bring about the fall of man started when the serpent tempted Eve with the forbidden fruit. Adam also ate the fruit because he was curious, too. They both made the same mistake, however, not long enough for Adam to learn the lesson from Eve's. Man is destined to learn from his own mistakes, and not from others. This does not mean, though, that man should commit one.

-*-

The mistake opened the senses of Adam and Eve to the material world. Consequently, they had to work and suffer like all men and women who followed in order to live and survive.

Eating the forbidden fruit, as you now see, was also the birth of freedom for man. God allowed man to rely on himself and made him fully responsible for his own destiny in life. Although this first exercise of freedom cost us all the possible comforts of heavenly life, life still is worth living in the material world. Life is like a series of dramas and plays on a stage where man is the star proving himself physically, intellectually and morally superior to all obstacles and conflicts, and still can laugh at his own flaws and weaknesses. If the last exit becomes an anticipation of home in heaven, then life after all is an exciting adventure worth living.

-*-

The dictionary defines mistake as an error in action, thought, judgement, or perception. The first mistake also opened the door of sin for man. Sin is defined by the dictionary as a willful violation of divine law or religious principle. Sin has a scientific meaning, too. Scientifically speaking, sin is abuse or misuse of one's own body. Sin is a violation of natural law. In God's eyes, sin is any act degrading one's own integrity in body and spirit. Remember, man's body and spirit came from Him. Therefore, sinning is a very personal one. So much so that one has to personally account for his misdeeds to Him. When the senses became open, sensory awarenreceived pleasure or pain from all kinds of temptations. The abuse due to excessive enjoyment of pleasures and dangerous escapes from pain and stressful life increased the kind and number of sins.

-*-

Mistakes and sins give rise to helplessness and desperation, pain and suffering. One has to rise above the vicious circle of sensory life in order to acquire the intelligence and energy to overcome mistakes and sins and also rectify old ones. But one has to take the action to initiate change in one's life. Success or failure by anyone is a personal matter. God has given man the instrument to succeed through his awareness. Because God also gave man freedom to determine his own fate, the responsibility to succeed and be happy is his own choice and his only. The freedom that leads to man's fall is also the freedom that will raise him back to Cleared/Elevated Awareness.

-*-

God gave man dominion over all the animals and plants including the creatures of the water and the sky. Man, therefore, also has the responsibility to care for and protect his environment. The earth can be like Eden only if man decides and wills it so. The key to living in a healthy and abundant environment is in the awareness of man. By living in Cleared/Elevated Awareness, the world can be a better place to live in.

-*-

God's image continues to live in man's Cleared/Elevated Awareness. To allow us to enjoy freedom, He let us step one level down to fulfill our worldly desires. Our sensory awareness for enjoying the pleasures of material life is also our bridge to elevate back where man originally started. The Holy Spirit is eternal. Man's spirit is eternal, too, even in the sensory level. God made it so, out of His eternal love and compassion, to give man as much time as he wants to finally return to Him. Man is renewed and elevated only in complete freedom - freedom from mistakes, sins, and evil of any kind. Doing good for others is laudable; doing good for one's self and others is fulfillment.

CHAPTER FOUR
Principles of Succeeding in Life

Men are born to succeed, not to fail.

HENRY DAVID THOREAU

The greatest thing a man can do in this world is to make the most possible out of the stuff that has been given him. This is success, and there is no other.

ORISON SWETT MARDEN

Success is defined in various ways depending on how it is achieved and what the goal is. To some, success is $$$ in the bank. To many, it is being number one in what they are good at. To a few others, it is being the first one to discover the unknown. To a majority of others, it is finding and keeping a fulfilling job.

Success always occurs on a high level. The "higher self" of the individual initiates and becomes involved in the entire process. The individual must have the support from the "highest" level, the Creator, in order to succeed. When you succeed, that support is there; only, you may not be aware of it. In any organization, the individual who wants to succeed must win the support of "higher up's" -- supervisors, managers, executives, as well as the people below the ranks. In order to maintain his success, man has to conduct himself on a "high" level. Although success can occur from a vacuum, it cannot happen by luck. When certainty is not assured, success can still happen by grace of the Creator. It happens; only, one may not be aware of it.

Success is not a goal; it is a process. Success is an on-going interaction and participation between the individual who wants to succeed, his desire, and the environment and other resources. Success is certain if the whole process includes the interaction and participation of the Creator through the Holy Spirit. The righteous know this.

When success is finally reached, credit does not go to only one individual. Everybody and everything involved in the process contribute in some measure to what we call success. So how do you define success?

-*-

In the early chapters, we have learned the potentials underlying every success that man wants to achieve. We shall go over them again, here, in this chapter. I may sound wholly mystic and religious but my inspiration in writing this book comes from the coming together of science and religion about creation. I am, here, exercising my freedom, without fear of mistakes, to draw some vital principles that will guide anyone to be successful in life.

Let me therefore give you the building blocks on which success depends:

Block 1: Creator - omnipresent attributes of the Holy Spirit (Radiance of support from the Holy Spirit - Level 1)

* Loving, filling, nourishing
* Unifying, integrative, harmonizing
* Joyful, blissful
* Sufficient, self-sufficient
* Abundant, unbounded
* Powerful, invincible, full of grace, all possibilities
* Eternal

Block 2a: Self - success attributes of cleared/elevated awareness (Level 2)

* Loving, nourishing, filling
* Unifying, integrative, harmonizing
* Joyful, blissful
* Self-sufficiency
* Wealth acquisition, abundance
* Power, grace, invincibility
* Complete freedom

Block 2b: Self - potentials of body and mind(Level 3)

* Perfect health and body coordination
* Great intelligence
* Excellence in physical and intellectual pursuits
* Relative invincibility
* Relative freedom

Block 3: Desire, plans, objectives

* Definition of goal

Block 4: Environment - support

* People
* Organization
* Equipment
* Other resources

These are the components or building blocks of success for any individual or organization. Together, with the individual as the initiator, the components interact and participate in a harmonious and cohesive manner to make success a reality.
