About the Author
Micah Yorke was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and despite the hot summers, he doesn't plan on leaving. He is a sixth grade teacher with a love for science and has always had a love for a good superhero story. At a young age, Superman and Star Wars dramatically influenced him, which is evident in the telling of his Power of Nine series.
As early as fourth grade, Micah has enjoyed writing stories of super strength, super speed, and flying with a cape. For many years he wrote his own rendition of Superman. In 2001, Juan (who Micah dedicates this book to) suggested he create his own superhero. Since the number nine has always held personal significance to Micah, the story developed from there.
