The author was born Anne Louise Wilson in Natchez, Missouri and has been known as "Bit" from birth. Bit has been a writer of many subjects. She was first published at age 7 -- a poem on the front cover of a national children's magazine.
She attended Agnes Scott College in Atlanta. She has always loved the beauty of the people and the romance of the Southern United States.
