About the Author Fran Montane graduated from the New York Institute of Technology (summa cum laude) and went on to study at Columbia University. She has received numerous awards for academic excellence including the Craig L. Goodman Memorial Award. She has also studied in workshop with Galway Kinnell and is included in Marquis' Who's Who in America 2003. She lives in Manhasset, NY.
