About the Book
This story is going to take you inside the souls of the characters so you can perceive their pain and hear the cry of their souls. Each character has reasons for their actions and pays the price for them, sometimes paying more than what they bargained for. As you take the journey, envision your own soul as you keep in mind: souls do cry. With each tear shed the soul heals, rebuilds and gets a little stronger with time.

Introduction
I amI am Angel:
I am soon to be married. I have one child a daughter, who looks just like me. I graduated high school in 1987. I am my mother's only daughter. I have one brother. I have a step father who raised me as his own. My parents shaped and molded me into a young woman, who now has dreams. I always kept the hope of meeting my natural father. I guess it is an instinct all humans have. I am twenty three years old and I'm still learning. I know I have a purpose in this world, but I'm still searching. I plan to make my life worth living and when I leave I want to be worth remembering. I live wearing my heart on my sleeve and my emotions are very plain to see. I love life and want to be loved. I am Angel.I am Darrell:
I have one daughter. I am getting married to Angel. I love her and our child. I plan to make a home for them. I graduated in 1985. I have no other future plans; I just want to be happy. I have six sisters and four brothers, I am the youngest. I am soft spoken, until I get angry. I like to have my way, and I usually get it. I have a soft spot for my family. I often go to them for advice, because they know what I want. I am Darrell.I am Marcie:
I have four children. I have wants and needs. I am not too concerned with dreams. I believe in luck. If you play your cards right you can have it all. With lady luck on my side I can never go wrong. I am Marcie.I am Colleen:
I am Darrell's sister. I will stand by him whether he is right or wrong. He is my baby brother, and my favorite. I am a woman of God. I go to church every day. I love Darrell's wife to be, she is the best thing that ever happened to him. They have a beautiful daughter, my niece, Tia. Angel is truly that, an angel from above. She loves my parents as her own and helps the family take care of them. I am divorced and have two children. I love Darrell and Angel both, as if they were mine too. I give them my blessings as husband and wife. I am Colleen.I am Renee:
I am Angel's mother. I have shaped her, molded her and set her free. I've done my part as a mother, now I am her best friend. I will be there when she calls for me. I will not interfere in her marriage; it is sacred between her, Darrell and God. I have set the example on how to be a good wife. I am married and have been for fifteen years. I am a woman of God. I go to the building from time to time but church is in my heart. I love Angel and there is nothing I wouldn't do for her, within reason. I believe that you give from the heart and if you don't the gifts are not worth giving. I am not perfect and neither is my child, she is still learning. When she falls I will be there to help her to her feet. I am Renee.I am Daniel:
I am Angel's father. She is not perfect by far. We had our differences, while she was being raised. Now she is grown, and I can take partial credit for who she is today. She has made me proud. I was the firm hand to keep her on track. Every child needs that from time to time. Angel could always depend on me for whatever she needed. I will always be there. She has a heart of gold and a smile worth seeing. She is my princess my little girl. I am truly proud to be her father. I am Daniel.I am Elijah:
I am Angel's grandfather. She is one of my many grandchildren. I see something very special in her. I see something special in all my grandchildren. I don't spoil them, there are way too many. She is a hard worker and a loving mother. I help when I can. I am Elijah.I am Claudine:
I am Angel's grandmother. I love Angel as I do all my grandchildren. Angel is a good girl. She deserves a good life. Angel has been searching for her place in the world for a long time. I know she will find it because she has determination. I gave birth to six daughters and two sons. I have raised most of my grandchildren and continue to help raise my great grandchildren. I don't have much, but whatever I can do to help them along the way, I give. Angel often comes to me for wisdom and I have plenty to share. I am Claudine.I am Phyllis:
I am Angel's aunt. Angel and I are like sisters. We are only one and a half years apart in age. We have shared both good and bad times together. I have four children, and Angel treats them as if they were her own. We have partied together, cried together, laughed together and grown together. No matter where our roads lead us, I keep her in my heart and I in hers. I wish her all the luck and happiness in her marriage. I am Phyllis.I am Jackson:
I had the pleasure of meeting Angel. She is a good woman, one who deserves a good man. Angel has all the qualities to make a good wife. She is an excellent mother. Angel is strong willed and will succeed in life. I only wish that I were ready to receive the love Angel has in her heart. Before I come to her I want to have something to offer. I am a man of honor and I will not allow a woman to take care of me. I am Jackson.I am Tia:
I have a father, a mother and a sister on the way. I like to read and I like to write stories and poems. I have many cousins on both sides of the family. I know my mommy and daddy love me, because they tell me every day. I don't have to worry whether my mommy and daddy will be home every day. I don't have to worry about being grown; I'm encouraged to stay young as long as I can. All I have to do is have fun and be good. I am Tia.I am Terri:
I have a mommy and daddy too. They both love me. I love to sing and dance. I am going to be a star, although mommy thinks I will make a good lawyer. I talk a lot, because I have a lot to say. I like to play sports too. I am Terri.I am Ariel:
I have a mommy and a daddy. I love my mommy and daddy. I am Ariel.I am Megan
I am just a baby. I am Megan.
"Souls Do Cry"
Souls do cry, they cry and moan, from the pain
they have felt, when they were left alone.
Souls do cry an unimaginable cry.
You feel it in your heart and your eyes they
never dry.
A soul that cries is building its power. It
releases the hurt and anger with its cleansing
shower.
The soul is strong; it is full of strength and
might. What made it cry today hurts a little
less tonight.
Time heals the soul, no one knows why, so let
it all out, cause no matter what you go
through.
Souls do cry.
"A Fatherless Child"
There is a fatherless child, what a sin.
A fatherless child, there is no such thing.
Every child has a father, every child
who was born.
God made it that way, who has forsaken
the Lord?
"You have."
You left your child, without a care in the
world, without a tear in your eyes.
How could you do it, just walk away?
Giving her no explanation, not even a
kiss good bye?
One day you'll see her all grown up,
The memories will come back, of the
times you spent reading her a book, as she sat
on your lap.
It will hurt your heart and make you
cry, to see her do well without you and her
mother wearing your pride.
A fatherless child is the one held high.
The Lord took her in his arms, and held
her when she cried.
She was protected when you fell short
to do your job, to raise her and mold her.
You had your chance, you failed her.
Now she has it all, you have nothing.
Yes, she has the Lord to hold her.
