I Need a Boost Have you ever locked yourself out of the house? I did. I always leave the front door locked however this particular day was an exception.
I had just finished washing and drying the car and started to put things away. I closed the garage door and walked inside the house. I walked out the front door so I could put the hose away. I grabbed the hose and carried it to the side gate door and walked right into the back yard. After putting the hose by the faucet, I walked back over to the gate door and locked it not just any lock, a padlock. Then I walked around to the backyard and over to the sliding glass door but when I tried to pull it open I realized it was locked, so I walked back around to the gate door thinking I could get out that way. It was locked. Not only did I lock myself out of the house, I locked myself into the backyard of my house. I went back to the sliding glass door and stood on the patio.
First I laughed then I thought, "How am I going to do this?" I said a small prayer, "Help me think of a way to get out." That's when I thought about pushing the big pot against the block fence, standing on top of it and jumping over. I managed to move the pot against the fence and as I stood on top of the pot I looked and said, "I need a boost." I put my hands on top of the block fence and started to pull myself up when I felt this "boost" from behind and I popped right over. The force behind the "boost" was so strong that I almost lost my balance when I landed on the other side of the fence. I made it! I walked to the front door, opened it and walked right in.
