About the Author Pamela Jane Beard has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. Pamela is married to John Kelley Beard a captain on the Fire department in Tulsa Oklahoma and they reside in Skiatook Oklahoma. Pamela has two grown children Nancy and Matt. Nancy has blessed them with three darling grandsons to which this is the reason the book was written. Granny PJ made up this story to get her grandson's to let her brush their teeth and found that it worked very well with all three of them. Pamela then asked Tulsa fire-fighter Jeff L. Biggs (who she knew was a very gifted artist, to do the illustrations). Pamela decided to publish the book after lots of encouragement from her twin sister a registered nurse in Tulsa and also to help other grandparents and parents with getting their children to let them brush their teeth at an early age.
