About the Author

Jacob Chriss currently teaches guitar playing, music theory and ensemble playing at various music schools in Denmark. He began playing piano at the age of seven, and then proceeded to the guitar in his early teens.

His musical training and education comes primarily from music schools, various advanced year courses and private lessons. Among the subjects he ad been studying are: music theory, ear training, improvisational theory, ensemble-playing, vocal training, composition and many others.

Beside his teaching, he also plays in different bands and ensembles, with styles ranging from classical to hard rock. Now he primarily performs his own compositions in the pop-rock genre.

Being quite young with an energetic approach to teaching, he's a popular character among both teachers and students wherever he works, attracting many students to his classes each year.

Wanting to share his knowledge and experiences in the most effective way, he has turned to writing books. The first two are Music Theory and Rhythm Flow, but many more are to follow!
