DEMON SLEEP

1. She arrives home, stops and gets out of the car and slams the door then walks up the steps and to the front door.

ANSATA - what are you doing home so early.

CRYSTAL - mmmmmh, I'm sick.

ANSATA - jesus, what's that smell.

CRYSTAL - don't wanna talk about it.

ANSATA - come and sit in the living room I need to talk to you about something.

CRYSTAL - not now.

ANSATA - yes now.

CRYSTAL - mmmmmh, okay.

She then follows her mother into the living rook and sit's down on the couch as Ansata sites beside her.

CRYSTAL - what is it.

ANSATA - do you remember A few weeks ago when we went to the cemetary to visit your dads grave.

CRYSTAL - ya, so.

ANSATA - well, did you take A blue topaz off of jack londons gravestone.

CRYSTAL - wwwwhhatt, hell no.

ANSATA - don't lie to me.

CRYSTAL - well, yes I did but somebody would have anyway but how did you know.

ANSATA - jack londons wife came over and said that she seen you take it.

CRYSTAL - wwwwhhat.

ANSATA - she told me to tell you to take it back and put it back on the top of the gravestone.

CRYSTAL - mmmmh, well if it makes the old crazy witch happy then guess so.

ANSATA - do it now.

CRYSTAL - but let me take A shower.

ANSATA - nooo, now.

CRYSTAL - ok, fine.

2. So she gets the topaz from her bedroom shelf by the window and puts it in her leftside pocket. Finally, she then gets to her car and gets in.

CRYSTAL - man it stinks in here, great now what.

She starts it up and pulls out of the driveway then drives on up the hill on 17th street A mile to the cemitary. A few minets latter she arrives to Valan cemitary and pulls up and in then stops her car.

CRYSTAL - mmm, ok.

She then gets out and slams the door as the window breaks and shatters all over the inside of the drivers seat.

CRYSTAL - goddam it, why me.
