About the Book
Personal note from author Carla Anne Schaaf, L.V.T.
This book is dedicated to all the cats that have come into my life past and present. Each one has come to me under many different circumstances and each has his or her own story to tell.
The collection of short stories in this book are their stories of how they came to live with me. You will laugh at their funny little antics and you will cry at their passing.
I hope you enjoy the stories in this book, there are many more to be told, this is just the beginning.

About the Author
Carla Schaaf's love of animals goes back to her early childhood, from two pet parakeets, lots of frogs and turtles, to a dog, a chipmunk with a broken tail, and a wild rabbit hit by a car.
From 1969 to 1970 Carla was an avid art student in Virginia Commonwealth University's Art Foundation Program. She started working in veterinary hospitals in 1991. Carla's love of animals encourgaed her to enroll in Saint Petersburg Junior College's Veterinary Technology Program. She worked three jobs while she attended school. Her goal was to graduate by the time she was fifty years old. She graduated an honor student in July of 2001 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in August of the same year.
Carla has dedicated her life to the care and welfare of animals. She holds cats dearest to her heart of all which is evident in the stories of "In The Company of CATS". She is currently a L.V.T. working in a small practice. Many of her cats have come from the clinics she has worked in. Some of them had special needs, some had been abandoned and some just needed a good home.
