Dear Mable, It's June 3, 1926
. . . Yes, since you and I graduated high school in 1922 six of us still call ourselves "the gang and we've continued to have the same wonderful times together. We miss you.
Remember how we joined arms and marched with the suffragettes in Duluth? (to the horror of my parents). You're right when you say we are "modern" girls, but not one of us has ventured as far from the Iron Range as you have. Now, tho, we'll be parting - going our separate ways - so this is my news!
We've decided on one more adventure together. You know - "Go off on a Hoot!"
Myrtle has suggested Yellowstone Park and my boy friend, John has offered his wonderful Studebaker Car. It's powerful. It's big enough for all six of us. People are telling us that such a trip is unheard of for young ladies - and I can hardly wait! When we return I'll be sure and send you some photos and highlights from "Six Girls on a Hoot!!!"
Fondly, your pal - Vi

Golden words, impressed long ago stood out from the rustic leather: Our Yellowstone Tour
