About the Author
The author, F. Leon Williams, although an engineer by education and trade, has had many technical publications, engineering and technical articles, out-door stories, etc. published over many years. However, even though he has written four novels, only two are being published at present.
Leon Williams' background is wide and varied. There were many years of big game hunting, mining and work in the timber industry. In addition to that he put in four years in the U. S. Air Force during the World War. Three of those years were in the jungles of New Guinea and other Southwest Pacific islands. Following that were thirty years in the Lockheed Missile and Space Company mainly in the Guidance and Control Division on outer space vehicles. Two engineering papers were written and presented to international engineering symposia.
At the eighth-grade level in school Williams entered a state-wide contest sponsored by the American Legion. For his entry he was presented with a special American Legion medal for the best entry. That seems to have started him on a writing career which continues to the present.
