About the Book
A candid and concise expose on the development and shaping of religion, beginning with the first century church and including the modern day church, from that perspective of Roman politics and power, through what appears to be purposefully designed and promoted error. Moreover, a serious look at how those errors, through intimidation and repetition have become traditions that have systematically blinded and pulled people away from the teachings of Christ, and the Truth.

About the Author
Bishop James Allen is Pastor of Word Outreach Teaching Ministries & Fellowship, which he Founded over thirty years ago. The main thrust of Word Outreach is the Training and Support of Missionaries both at Home and Abroad in Asia and South America. Bishop Allen was born to this task, as he had Five Uncles who were all Preachers and grew up in a Bible believing, Worshipful home in Fort Worth , Texas. From a very young age he was curious about all that he had heard on Sundays and Wednesdays, and continued to study The Word during his ten year stint in the Coast Guard, after which he knew that Seminary was the next step for him. In preparing students for Missionary work his quest was to be absolutely certain that what he was teaching them was the truth, and a literal retelling of what Christ said while He was here, but not some interpretive rendering by someone who had a better idea of what The Lord said than The Lord Himself.
He continues to run the Mission here at home, as well as working in and developing the foreign mission field, helping all those he can. With all of this he still studies daily, reaching out with The Word

Prologue
After nearly forty years of searching the Scriptures, reading numerous books searching for answers, and frequent discussions with other Pastors and ministers, other ministers who I know and respect, I came to an overwhelming conclusion. What we practice as Christians is not what we were given by Christ and His Apostles.
All of us were graduated from Seminaries, some liberal, some conservative, some accredited, some not, but all with the understanding that what we were taught, was what Scripture taught. There was after all, a long tradition, almost two thousand years, to point to the correctness of what we were taught. It should be understood that we came from a number of different denominations.
There was a unanimous concern expressed by all of us; "The more that we studied Scripture, the less of what we were taught made sense." I started to understand why so many Christians understood so little about their faith.
Two of the largest concerns came over Sunday as the Christian Sabbath, and the name of Jesus. None of us ever disputed who and what Jesus is. The question was, what is his name? The concern is like a wife who is married to a man named George and calls him Harry all the days of her life. One would think if she really loved him she would at least give him the respect of calling him by his right name.
There is no J in Hebrew and no way to make a J sound. What makes this even more interesting is that there is no J in Greek or Aramaic either. The only language near Israel that has the ability to produce a J sound is Latin. As to the question of the Christian Sabbath's being Sunday, the First Day of the week, there is nothing in Scripture to support such a thing even though Quakers (The Society of Friends), some Mennonites and most Amish still refer to Sunday as, "First Day."
I can't count the number of times I have heard a preacher say:
Gal:1:8:"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."
Gal:1:9: "As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other Gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."The problem with this is when we study Scripture we must not only understand what was said, but who said it, when was it said, and who it was said to, and why it meant what it meant when it was said. These verses from Galatians were repeated to the Christians of the First Century church. Paul said it. And it was said around 45 CE. At the time this was spoken the Church was keeping the Sabbath on the day God commanded, not Sunday, and observing the Feasts of the Jews. This unfortunately was not the context in which these preachers used these Scriptures. Paul would never have supported a Sunday Sabbath. He was a Jew.
Scripture says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge". But because "We have always done it that way", and because we are for the most part unwilling to impeach our own judgment, we continue to build doctrine on a few verses of Scripture, usually taken out of context.
After I had announced to a few of my friends that I felt compelled to write a book on this subject, I was asked two Questions: "Who do you expect to buy the book?" And, "Do you expect the book will change anything?" I thought to myself probably very few, and not likely. Then I had to ask myself, why write it? For this I had an answer. Psalms 11 had been haunting me for the best part of forty years. Ps11:
1: "In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
2: For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
3: If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"I was finally understanding the foundations David spoke of, and the assault on the foundations of the faith ever since the first fall from Grace in the Garden of Eden.
The other two passages that never seemed to leave me were: " Ezek:3:17: Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: Therefore hear the word at My mouth, and give them warning from me."
And: Ezek 33:
1: "Again the Word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2: Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3: If when he sees the sword come upon the land, he blows the trumpet, and warn the people;
4: Then whosoever hear the sound of the trumpet, and take not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5: He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that takes warning shall deliver his own soul.
6: But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
7: So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from Me.""If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" It seems that everything that I have read and experienced to this point in my life has brought me to this point of writing. It is not up to me if anyone agrees with me or not. Quite honestly it doesn't really matter. Of course everyone wants to be accepted and appreciated, however in matters of Truth of God's Word, if I do my job really well I am more likely to be thrown from the Temple wall and stoned in much the same manner as James the Just.
It is not my intention to offend anyone, but I am sure that it is inevitable that I may offend almost everyone. My intent is only to present to any who will take the time to read this book, my journey of discovery into the foundations of our faith and what it means to all of us today. I cannot apologize for writing this book. I believe that God has prepared me for this task. At least I pray that whether you agree with me or not, at least you will pause to think about what I have written and study it for your self.
Paul wrote: 2Tm:3:16: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:." I believe this with all of my heart, mind, and soul. Peter wrote: 2Pt:1:20: "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." What I am presenting is God's Word, pure and unadulterated, devoid of the interpretation of man, which we not only are warned against, but which has caused all of the error in the body of Christ today.
Who am I writing to? I am writing to anyone who believes that there is any kind of justification or redemption apart from faith. Rom:1:17: "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." I am writing to anyone who believes that Messiah has not come. Isa:9:6: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulders: And His Name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace." I am writing to anyone who believes that Christ is anything other or less than prophesied Savior, Emmanuel, the Son of God. Mt:1:23: "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call Him Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God (Who is) with us." I am writing to anyone who believes that Mary was a perpetual virgin. Mk:6:3: "Is not this the carpenter's son, of Mary? The brother of James, and Joseph, and of Juda, and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him." I am writing to anyone who believes that Mary was born through "Immaculate Conception", and was therefore without the stain of Original Sin. Rom:3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;", Rom:5:12: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:". I am writing to anyone who believes that there is any other mediator apart from Christ. 1Tm:2:5: "For there is One God, and One Mediator between God and men; the Man Christ Jesus;", Heb:8:6: "But now hath He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is the Mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises." I am writing to anyone who believes that the Old Testament is of no concern for today. Heb:9:15: "And for this cause He is the Mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the First Testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance." I am writing to anyone who does not believe in the Divinity of Christ. Jn:10:30: "I and My Father are One." I am writing to anyone who has seen inconsistencies between the Church and the Word of God. I am writing to anyone who has never read God's Word for himself. And finally, I am writing to anyone who loves God's Word as I do.
