About the Book
Kimo was a boy of Hawaii and he was full of music. His mother liked music too, but not all the time! So she sent him off to make music for his Kupuna.
His grandfather showed him how the people of Old Hawaii made music with things from the sea...from the forest... from the river.
About the Author
Vivian is a musician as well as a writer. When she came to Hawaii, she was fascinated by musical instruments made from gourds...shell...sticks...even stones. She found out more about them and wrote this story so children could learn about them, too.
