About the Book

Ralph is not your average talking bear: he's well-read, he claims to have read everything Shakespeare ever wrote, has strong opinions on every subject and has a decidedly jaundiced opinion of the human race.

About the Author

Pete Merrill grew up in California and moved to Washington State following WWII. Among other things, he taught high school for 22 years in the small town of Belfair, WA. Upon retirement he took up woodcarving for 12 years, then found that writing was less strenuous but equally rewarding.
