About the Book

Offspring of human women and fallen angels, the Nephilim are a mighty and dark force to be reckoned with. Their blackened hearts, awesome strength and depraved ways were of the greatest factors for the Biblical flood. Powerful, towering, beautiful and capable of performing fantastic feats, what would occur if ever there happened to be even one Nephilim serving on the side of righteousness?

There are three. Immortal, those three live out extensive lives in which they are brought together over five hundred years later for an extreme cause . . .
a cause which will forever change the world.

The planet is again being populated by the dreaded Nephilim. They, alongside their Grigori sires and a horde of demon brethren within the satanic hierarchy, have made their presence known to the entire world. Liars by nature, they convince humans worldwide that they are extraterrestrials who have returned to the planet they claim to have created fro humanity's salvation. They promise to bring forth a world leader that will unite the nations and bring peace.
The antichrist.

Knowing that Earth's time is short, the three Nephilim band together with three other intelligent, powerful and skilled individuals. With an underground network of others whom the demons have failed to deceive, they work to warn the world that the promised leader of peace is truly the antichrist.
For their efforts, the six become known as . . .

The Dungeon Crew

About the Author

Since about the age of 11, Rachel C. Sorenson has always believed she was born to be an author. When she began dreaming up stories with dynamic, compound characters who exhibited complex emotions, and found she thoroughly loved telling and writing their stories, she knew it was part of the call on her life. When she realized she had a knack for utilizing what she had learned in English classes, she could see the talent and gift blossoming. That call is now, and will continue to be, utterly fulfilled, as she realizes there is something more to be offered to the readers than mere entertainment.

Many of the characters depicted in Rachel's works have a basis in reality. There are elements derived from real beings within, and thus composing, most every character. Rarely, and to a few, will she disclose identities, but will admit which are closest to her heart, and which have been a personal Dungeon Crew.

An artist at heart, Rachel enjoyed adding a visual aspect to her first novel, "The Dungeon Crew." Alongside her own artwork, she employed the talents of three gifted artists, Craig Anderson, Andrew Orr and her husband, Christopher. Rachel describes herself as feeling "greatly honoured" at having the work of the three displayed in the book.

"Show yourself, Sabien!" Justis demanded, scouting the skies for his foe. He waited patiently for the Grigori to appear. Drawing in a breath through his nose, he could smell that the demon was near. Alert, he immediately caught sight of Sabien in his peripheral vision. He turned to meet his hellish assailant.

Sabien soared at Justis quickly, sword directly out before himself. Justis hardly had time to think. He acted upon instinct and slashed sharply through the air. By the Grace of God, his blade met precisely with Sabien's, deflecting the blow that would have possibly severed his head. Acutely aware of the impending danger, Justis encased his body in dermal armor. Why I didn't do that when he inflicted the first three slashes is still a mystery to me! he mused to himself. The fact of the matter was, due to the urgency of the situation at hand, he simply hadn't the presence of mind to have done so.

Justis gave his wings one mighty downward thrust, rocketing his body straight upward. He turned an aerial somersault, then dove down in Sabien's direction. The demon smiled diabolically, then flew upward at tremendous speed. As their bodies crossed in the sky both made an attempt to slice the other. Sabien failed, and Justis' blade ripped open the demon's dermal armor, as well as his chest. The Grigori tumbled through the air, but quickly steadied himself.

The two looked to each other, understanding one another's posture. They prepared to again charge each other. With a cry of rage, Sabien flew at Justis. The Nephilim did the same. However, instead of slashing at the demon with his sword, Justis ducked away from the devilish blade and threw himself into the demon's midsection. Justis dove toward the ground. Sabien struggled to free himself of the hold Justis had on him. In a final attempt, the demon turned his sword over and aimed the bottom razor sharp curve at the Nephilim's back. He lifted the blade, but before he could bring it down he was slammed into the ground. The air being knocked from his lungs, Sabien found it nearly impossible to even move.

Justis hastily leapt to his feet, as he had landed on top of the demon. He lifted his sword high into the air, fully prepared to vanquish the Grigori. Before he could do so, Sabien regained his senses, grabbed Justis' ankle and pulled his leg out from under him. On the ground, he was immediately over the warrior. The demon had forgotten that the Nephilim Slayer still possessed his sword, and before he could move, Justis had impaled him through the lower chest. His body slid down the blade just slightly. Justis brought his feet up, placed them on Sabien's stomach, then pushed the demon up and off of his Tachi.

Sabien doubled over in pain on the ground. Justis crouched over the demon, pulled his head back by the hair and placed his sword at his neck. He began to slice across the Grigori's throat, but the demon had somewhat recovered. He reached up and took a hold of Justis' wrist, staying the blade. Justis struggled to move the sword across Sabien's neck, and the demon did his best to halt the action.
