About the Author and Illustrator Elisa Vincent received a BA in English from the University of Texas at Arlington, a degree from the Long Ridge Writers Institute, and has been published in the National Anthology of Poetry. She lives with her husband and three children in Weatherford, TX. Elisa has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil and hopes to pass on her love for literature to her children. Maureen Connolly runs a successful children's portrait studio in Azle, Texas. She is well known for creating a loving atmosphere for her young clients that elicits the expressions families treasure. Many of her whimsical images of children have been displayed in Texas art exhibitions and published in magazines and books.
