Excerpts
SOHO
When I was back in Soho
you'd look at me and think
I was a hobo but that was
back in Soho now I've become
an exemplary soliderEvery morning rain or shine
I'd rise to collect and buy my
wine lay in the gutter act like
a swine sometimes I feel
like dyingOne night
while I was sound
asleep I had a dream
that I was a sheep
God was my shepard
he'd watch as I sleep
he told me one day
I'd rise to my feetThe morning
after the dream
war broke out
in Aberdeen
I rushed to enlist
and relive my dream
left Soho and went
to good ol' Aberdeen
became the finest soldier
you'd ever seenNow I'm back with my chest
full of ribbons
money in my pocket
to buy my own kingdom
pride in the fact that I fought
like a gibbon
God came to me in a dream
now look at my bosom*****
A WALK INTO THE WOODS
And the father said to his son
pray with me son
and the son said to his father
I'm afraid to pray
and the father said to his son
I'll pray
and looked up as he prayedFather
Thank you for the moment
thank you for today
thank you for yesterdayAnd the son looked up
at his father
and saidThank you father
for everythingAnd they continued their walk
into the woods
