About the Book

Angel and CoCo live in a Brooklyn neighborhood, and have a daily routine in which the parrot is mischievious and petulant, and the man is thoughtful and obliging. A thunder storm throws a lightning flash on just what that means in an emergency; the perseverance and worry of finding a lost pet; and a final mutual understanding, in which nothing changes.

About the Author

B.D. Sparhawk is an unusual woman who has been: the only outdoor scaffold-climbing billboard painter in the USA; a radio and TV producer; US Congressional Press Secretary; writer for TV news at CBS, ABC & Fox; & the NEW YORK POST. She's had her own sign and mural painting buisiness; sculptor; artist in many mediums; and portrait painter. This is the first of many children's books. Sparhawk has also written a collection of short stories called The Gandy Dancer & Other Short Stories; a novel, Noise. All her work is focused on inspiring individualism and an independent spirit in the young and old alike. She has lived all over the country and is now in Big Sur with her cat Gorgeous, working on the next novel. Her paintings will soon be available for viewing on a website.
