About the Book

Nine-year-old Brigitte, waiting patiently in line with her mother to buy tickets to see the Louvre, is about to begin an exciting journey into French history and culture with a pair of magic glasses. Suddenly she becomes part of history when Joan of Arc and Claude Monet come alive to share their past. Because of Brigitte, Joan of Arc learns about the world today and Monet suddently gets inspiration for his next set of paintings.

Les Lunettes Magiques includes a French-English glossary, making it an interesting study tool for students learning French as a foreign language. It is also an intriguing storybook for children who are well versed in French.

About the Author

A class in art and a year of high-school French inspired Anagha to write this story. The book evolved out of Anagha's growing passion for French culture through her subsequent high school years. Writing the book as a student, she designed it to be a study tool by including a vocabulary section.

Besides French, Anagha loves music and enjoys playing the violin. She is an active member of her community through her program to raise funds for local children's hospitals. Currently she attends college in Massachussettes.
