About the Book

This book is designed for children 4 years to 12 years of age. The goal of the book is to develop oral language skills such as phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. It also develops reading skills by sustaining the interest of children. The story conveys problem solving and pragmatic skills for children while alerting them to the dangers that exist out there when they are not with an adult. This story is based on a real incident. Names and some facts have been changed.


About the Author

Dr. Usha Menon-Rajan is a Speech and Language Pathologist. She has been working with children who have developmental delays and language impairments for over 30 years.

Dr. Rajan holds a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology and a doctorate in Health Care Management. She is currently employed as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the Mansfield City School District in the State of Ohio.
