About the Author
As an award-winning bullwhip artist for over twenty years, Rich Hoffman's personal passion for world mythological studies and the western arts have led him through a maze of professional doors. He has done work as a gunsmith, repo-man, inventor, graphic designer, fund-raiser, videotographer, salesman, grill cook, waiter, landscaper, tree trimmer, and writer. He has been active in local politics on issues ranging from drug abuse to zoning changes. As a fervent reader, his favorite work comes from Joseph Campbell and the pulp writer, Johnston McCulley. It's not unusual for him to read some good comic books in the morning then relax with some Shakespeare. His favorite Shakespearean play is "Titus Andronicus." As a member of the WWAC, he continues to compete and perform with bullwhips. He enjoys occasional moments of peace with his wife and two children where they reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Reviews
Great storytelling from a new and talented author. A mingling of politics, conspiracy, truth and justice. Ranging from everyday friends to science fiction, all of which centers around a new kind of hero, whom distributes his own style of Justice...great book!

Review of The Symposium of Justice by Benjamin Poston of The Pulse-Journal. February 26, 2004 Edition.
Cliffhanger, based loosely on timeless storybook heroes such as Zorro or Robin Hood, prevents the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl by "Scarface the Rapist" in the book's opening chapter. He leaves behind the symposium of justice, a manifesto that includes Cliffhanger's 10 rules that read like Moses' Ten Commandments.
Henceforth, the main character becomes an avenger of evil while walking the thin line of the law-the local authorities and criminals despise him. In this way, the freedom fighter is both the protagonist and the antagonist.
Woven into the novel are stories of political conspiracies, horror, romance, science fiction and legal drama that are deliciously vivid in their depictions.
