About the Book

Can Chief Inspector Howcroft and DS Williams solve the murder of a middle-aged woman found on a cold frosty winter's morning? It would seem the murder was of a sexual attack, wrists bound, and the body is found in Bournemouth, a coastal town where murders are few and far between, to say the least.

As the investigation progresses they find themselves battling the powerfull Special Operations team at 'New Scotland Yard' and in the dangerous mind games of a high profile Judge. But the biggest uncertainty affecting the murder being solved, is the role of 'The Chess Player'...

'The Chess Player' was a nickname given to Rafael Rojas who operates a Colombian money-laundering cartel and manipulates people as 'pawns' in his game. This rivetting short story will keep you guessing and takes you from London to Bogota in an attempt to unravel the murder.

A gripping action thriller that you won't want to put down.

About the Author

I was born in 1966, and at time of going into publication with this book, I had just turned 37 years old. This is a dream come true, seeing an idea floating in my head turned into black and white print and now published as a novel.

Unfortunately, back in 1985 I had a serious car accident that left me wheelchair bound and I contemplated then, that maybe I should write a book. But in Stoke Mandeville hospital, I struggled to pick up a pen, and never ever thought I could write or type.

With the strong support of my family and friends I did manage to get stronger and believe in myself, even returning to full time employment. Then, in March 2001, I had the best day of my life, when I married a beautiful young woman who gave me more impetus to accomplish things. I went waterskiing, and even appeared on TV in my favorite cookery show.

So this is my first novel... maybe my last, only you the public will tell me if Chief Inspector Howcroft will return for more investigations. But it's another achievement to tick off in my life.
