About the Book

Secretly, three middle-school girls decide to take a bike ride to an old haunted mansion just outside of their neighborhood. Most of the people from Danville feared to go near the mansion that had been vacant for more than fifty years. With some hesitation, the girls are still excited to find out what was inside the old mansion's walls.

Once inside the mansion, the girls try to unravel the clues to the old place. Their curiosity takes hold, leading them from one place to another. In the end they find themselves TRAPPED inside the wall of the mansion and fighting for their lives!

About the Author

As a suburban housewife I enjoy quilting, needlepoint and writing. Most of all, I have enjoyed taking care of my family and watching my two boys growing up.

Just recently in the past couple of years, I decided to take a dream that I had as a child and turn it into a book. Much elaboration was needed to bring the story to life, but it was gratifying and fun. Just like my boys, I had a wild imagination as a child. The one dream, this one in particular, was the most intriguing. I wrote down the details of the dream in my diary the morning after it took place hoping to keep it in my memory forever. Sadly, I am unable to find that diary . . . but the memory still exists.

The enjoyment that I received from writing my first book has made me realize that my world of imagination needs to continue. I hope that I can build more imagination and fun for many children.

Excerpts

The sign read...Elmwoods...Marshall Residence.

It was just starting to get dark and a huge three-story white house stood before them.

Melody quickly turned to look and saw a black shadow move right through the door.

Unsure of which way to go next...the girls frantically searched for a way out!

"Oh my God,"...Sarah said as she stood in the doorway of one of the rooms, her face as white as freshly fallen snow.

Now it was more convincing than ever that they had seen and talked to ghosts!

"Their coming to get me!" she screamed..."They come out of the floor!"
