About the Author
Jacqueline Conway, born in the Philippines to military parents, the youngest of three children, traveled worldwide throughout her childhood. As a young child her parents discovered her love for reading children's storybooks. Reading was Jacqueline's favorite subject in elementary school. When the Troll book order form was sent home, her mother could recall the many books Jacqueline checkmarked to order, as she would hand her mother a lengthy, scribbly handwritten bill. Jacqueline's creative imagination later inspired her to write a children's play at the age of 9, inviting the neighborhood to see the "performance" which lasted all of 8 minutes with refreshments!
Aside from her love for reading as a child, Jacqueline really enjoyed birthday parties! From the balloons, streamers, games, cake and candles to the friends and gifts! Oh, but that's where the valuable lesson is introduced in It's My Birthday! A birthday party is not all about the gifts friends bring to Tai's party. The party is the friends that attend to make all the magic and excitement happen that friendship can bring in celebration of Tai's birthday.
Jacqueline worked part-time in child development centers throughout her college career. Her favorite time of the day with the children was always Story Time. Jacqueline earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Radio and Television - Advertising at Sam Houston State University, where she was inspired to develop her writing skills. Her passions are dancing, working with children and writing, which led her desire to write four children's storybooks soon to come. Jacqueline currently resides in Southeast Texas.
