About the Book

This book is thought provoking, embracing several subjects that are linked, yet independent. From black holes to Adam and Eve and DNA to world history, previous subject barriers are shattered.

It shows that people and social attitudes are still affected by thousands of years of conditioning by the church and state. Although barriers are being broken down, much of what has been taught was on a foundation of assumption, ignorance, and fear. Today, people with the freedom to question cannot be given satisfactory answers because there are none in the conventional /orthodox sense. There needs to be a new understanding.

Science has started unravelling the mysteries of the universe, yet what is being discovered are aspects of "God" whose attributes are not realised for what they are because the scientists are looking for different things.

Historically religion separated itself from science because it believed science defied its authority on knowledge. Now that science has much evidence to support its findings and many people accept what has been scientifically proven, the church finds itself in a difficult position. It can no longer uphold its stance and finds that people are now generally questioning its dogma. Homosexuality, the "sacrament" of marriage and the sins of adultery and divorce, are some of the topical questions that are covered in the book. What does the Bible really say? Does it match with what we were forced to believe? The foundations laid by the traditionally taught creation story lie deep within western society.

This book is an introduction, the first in a series which takes a new look at religion and science showing that they could and should be able to work together if the old mindset is destroyed. They are really aspects, although defined as disciplines, of the same thing.

About the Author

After my husband died I became a working Mum and housewife bringing up three young children on my own. When my children were older I took a full time degree in Theology and Philosophy following it with private study and research into physics, chemistry and cosmology which were relatively new subjects to me. After that I researched some history and archaeology. There were questions that had no satisfactory answers. This quest helped me to find answers.
