INTRODUCTION
In this work I have touched on the mysteries of life and the question of our existence or indeed the confusion of our human origin. So many circumstances of life are that of which we cannot comprehend or understand and so many of these circumstances are thought provoking. We wrestle with thoughts of the life experience, as indeed we ponder the many strange and unusual happenings of which many of us have come to take for granted as just part of living and not to be questioned. Others question the life experience until they are fully exhausted. Indeed so many individuals having become tired of the effort of questioning, adapt an alternative attitude and they begin to accept life or living for what it is worth as each day rolls by. Others fear their questioning thoughts because they may stimulate a feeling of uncertainty, rather they prefer to dwell more in a state of mere existence, without asking the whys and wherefores of that which they cannot comprehend. Of course uncertainty can arise with thoughts of the mysterious or the strange unknown. Some individuals certainly feel it is best not to think or ponder the question regarding the origin of our existence, in that way, the fear, the uncertainty and the insecurity which the thought can provoke, will not present itself to the conscious mind, as the individual will not dwell on such thoughts. There are those who possess strong religious conviction to which they rigidly adhere to, never straying in thoughts of question or denial, never losing faith in the doctrines that they were taught to believe and steadfastly believing in the religion in which they were initially instructed in, as these doctrines were instilled within them. Such people live in a relatively happy human existence as they possess strong religious convictions and indeed their faith is strongly rooted within them.
On the other hand there are individuals who are not happy or prepared to accept what they have been taught to believe or accept and they tend to think for themselves. These particular individuals have an inquiring mind and their belief alters as new findings or facts present themselves. In fact their opinion or belief may constantly change until they eventually come to a final conclusion of their own. Their belief may rest at this level or alternatively, it may continue to alter if new discoveries or findings come to light.
Generally speaking, most of us possess or possessed particular religious convictions and this state of affairs depends upon the particular area of the earth which we happen to have been born upon or on the other hand, our religious convictions can be accounted for because of our parents religious beliefs.
There are of course many theories regarding the origin of our existence and included in these beliefs or convictions, is Charles Darwin's theory of evolution which was compiled and presented in his controversial book entitled Origin of the Species. Charles Darwin (1809-1882) discovered interesting findings on the Galapagos, a group of thirteen large islands and several smaller ones scattered across 23,000 square miles of Pacific Ocean, less than one degree below the equator and 600 miles south of the South American mainland. Charles Darwin's doctrine of evolution is the belief that higher forms of life have gradually arisen out of lower forms. For those of us who are willing to accept Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, then this would explain the physical evolution of the human being, although there are still some uncertainties along the evolutionary path to the human state. Experts are still finding flaws on the evolutionary route. If evolution is however accepted, what then of the life force (the spirit, the mind, the soul, the astral body or the energy). It would have evolved also but what of its origin? How did it begin? Was it combined with the physical (the matter). There is a growth force in plants and shrubs for example but would we say that they possess a spirit? Nevertheless green leaves sustain us with the life saving oxygen, which they pour into the atmosphere. Did the origin of the human life force originate in the combination of water vapour, ammonia and methane subjected to an electrical discharge or lightning in nature? Of course we may believe that God or the Cosmic Divine force designed all these changes, interactions, reactions or happenings.
If we are to accept the theory of evolution, we must also accept that the subconscious was formed prior to the conscious mind. It would appear that the physical has evolved to the best of it's potential, however I feel that the life force or the mind, spirit, soul, astral body, or energy, continues to evolve in certain individuals, raising these particular individuals on to a higher plateau of enlightenment. It is therefore through the path of the subconscious that the development and mysteries of our human origin truly lies and it is in the depths of the subconscious where many questions can be answered. Due to the fact that the subconscious would have had it's experiences in shapes, sizes, colours, sensations and perhaps sound (depending upon the level of its development at any phase of the evolutionary process) it is then very important to examine our dream content. Dreaming is certainly a gateway to the subconscious, therefore adequate hours of sleep are of dire importance to our conscious mind and communication with the subconscious is of immense necessity for the purpose of gaining information or knowledge with reference to the mysteries of our human existence. The subconscious is indeed the Greater mind, as all knowledge of truth rests there and whatever means we may use to communicate with it, can only prove of great beneficial reward in understanding the human being or in other words, in understanding ourselves.
In the proceeding pages I will attempt to write about the conscious human state in many of it's emotions, sensations, discriminations and in it's cognition and will. Beyond the conscious state I shall touch on the subconscious, an area which appears dim to us in our conscious or logical level, I shall go beyond and so therefore I entitle this work Beyond the Twilight.
"Way Beyond"
Into the mysteries of life I go,
The heart won't tell but the mind do know,
A mind that spans to depths beyond,
A plunge to plant in God's own pond,
But oft it is with grace so pure,
That soul is seeped in God's own cure,
And sure 'tis deep within that pond,
Where wonderous treasures do abound,
And if so taken as they should,
They so will grace the soul of good,
But then if taken a faulty fashion,
The spirit's self, the soul will ashen.
Of fashion we are fixed,
And of way we run betwixed,
Whether to go now, whether to stay,
Our conscious cries, do depths obey?
Rush, race and run,
Start what has begun,
For God alone doth know,
The depths the soul doth flow,
And God alone will feel,
When souls so bright appeal,
They searching as a youth,
For blossoms of the Truth,
The truths in Gods own pond,
A subconscious way beyond,
'Tis where we all will fly light,
That's way beyond the twilight.
