About the Author Dan O'Sullivan was born in Ireland and is an experienced European journalist who has been covering the European Union for newspapers, radio and television for almost thirty years. He has received many awards in recognition of his work including the prestigious European Journalist of the Year for his contribution to radio on European Union developments. He has worked extensively with MEPs in Brussels and Strasbourg, with officials from the various institutions of the EU as well as representatives of the governments of individual EU member states. This has given him a unique insight into the entire decision-making process of the European Union and how those decisions affect the citizens of the EU member states.
