About the Book
This book is set in London in the early 1900's through to the First World War.
It is a wonderful, warm and loving story of a family and their staff, following their everyday lives.
As with everyone's lives, life does not always stay the same or continue in the same way year after year and we follow them all, throughout their lives up to the war.
We follow the children growing up with their parents, who all have this very loving, caring relationship together.
The staff and their unusual interaction with the family is described. Everyone knew their place and did not overstep it and the loyalty and consideration between them overcame all.
There are sad times and how they overcame them but predominantly this story is upbeat and happy and as with all good stories there is a twist.
Certain things happen that at first cannot be explained but when explanations are brought to the fore, do they believe them or not?
Will you believe them or not?
That is for you to decide.
This book has a good pace to it throughout and makes you want to turn the pages to see what happens next and it will not disappoint.

Emma thought that she would faint with embarrassment and blushed a wonderful shade of pink, which matched the décor.
The invitation had been accepted and Emma was gently whisked away onto the dance floor by whom she thought was the most handsome young man she had ever seen.
