About the Book

The first book in the series is called Jape The Grape Ape From Outer Space. This is a story of an alien who finds his way to earth and tells his story to children. It is a fun and imaginative story with an anti-violence subtext. When told, it seems to capture the imaginatioins of young audiences everywhere, and it tends to foster an interactive atmosphere.

The story begins with the main character, Jape-the Grape from the Planet of the Grapes. Jape explains where he is from in great detail. Everything is shaped like or made out of grapes. He then proceeds to fill the reader in about the Flying Karate Monkeys, the rivals of the Grape Apes who have continually committed pranks on the Grape Apes and other planets for thousands of years. The Grape Apes are able to eat golden grapes that give them super powers for twenty-four hours so that they can restore order in the universe.

The episodes that follow are about the specific adventures that have ensued between the Grape Apes and the Flying Death Karate Monkeys.

For example, Saving Grape-Ella tells the story about the day the Flying Karate Monkeys kidnapped Grape-Ella, the queen of the Planet of the Grapes, and how the Grape Apes rescued her.

Episode two is Who Stole The Stars? In this story we discover the plot of the Flying Karate Monkeys to take over the universe until the Grape Apes save the day.

In the last episode, The Day The Flying Karate Monkeys Disappeared, the Grape Apes band together to save the Flying Karate Monkeys from certain destruction.

But wait there's more... other episodes will follow.
