About the Author
Author Barbara J. Miller, with 30 years of cooking experience in several different venues takes her experience in the kitchen and brings it to you, the reader, in this UNIQUE, lightly entertaining yet informative self-help cook book. Barbara says, "I have come to realize that we all know what low carb eating is, we just seem to have a problem sticking to it because we find ourselves becoming bored with the food choices offered to us."
Realizing as well, that there were just not that many places to turn to for any kind of emotional support...in which a person could know that thier "feelings and challenges" could be validated, she knew it was time to try and offer some help and support. Barbara says, "carbohydrate addicted people need to know that there are others out there who suffer the same challenges, feel the same feelings and struggle to stay on track just as they do. I also feel that just because some carbohydrates are being restricted on this particular eating plan, it doesn't mean a person has to give up richness, flavor or an elegant meal. Life is about living your own experience to the fullest! This is NOT just a cooking book...just about anyone can cook a recipe out of a book. It's about learning to create an attitude and that ultimate experience!" This is what took Barbara to the kitchen to begin "creating and compensating".
