About the Book

Was the beautiful, headstrong, decietful Vivien L. Fox, the VIXEN murdered by her employer and lover, Senator Joe Levi? Or was she not?

Her estranged young husband, WWII fighter pilot ace Bob Baylor thought so. A jury said so, in spite of Corpus Delecti. That is, until Mrs. Levi stood up and in a loud tremulous voice proclaimed: "NO! NO! Joe DIdn't do it! I killed miss Fox!"

Found unfit to stand trial, her statement caused a mistrial and the beginnings of a skeptic, in which Bob would go ahead in a career as a famous author, lecturer, and debatist, challenging religion, politics and industry, exposing their role in the cause of the overpopulation crisis, as bob saw it. After fifteen years of happy marriage to his lovely literary agent and publishing editor, in is elder years, Bob recieved the jolt of his life with the sudden reappearance of an elderly, sick and dying VIXEN.

About the Author

There is a grain of truth in the story of the VIXEN. At an early age he did meet and make the acquaintance of a young blond, short haired beautiful girl. But not as in the story, it was a passing fancy and soon forgotten until this recent writing. Richard did carry on in a flying career as an Army Air Corp flying officer. But not as the hot shot fighter pilot of his boyhood dreams. Instead, he flew as a B-17 bombardier, completing fifty bombing missions over Nazi Europe. Only to be recalled for duty in the Korean War as a SAC B-29 radar bombardier/ navigator.

Between wars, he had a successful art career as a commercial illustrator and graphics designer. Upon retirement, he turned to writing as an enjoyable way of passing the time. He wrote many stories, both long and short. Not really expecting to be published until the VIXEN.

Now nearing old age, it is his hope that the representative story "A REASONABLE PREVALENCE" as mentioned, can become a reality on the bookshelves. It is his thinking that it will show religious man how to overcome his fears and superstitions. How to get a nucleus of doomed men off of his decaying planet and out into the far reaches of space where his heritage of intellectuality can be preserved.
