About the Book

Millie is your typical pre-teen interested in boys, shopping, talking on the phone, playing video games, and watching television. In this age of computers and internet, the last thing she's interested in is an outdated, prehistoric, boring book. What she doesn't realize is her teacher, Miss Chiff, is about to change her mind. Anyone who loves reading knows what it's like to get "sucked" in to a good book. Millie's about to find out...literally.

About the Author

Stacy grew up in Glendive, MT, but moved to Bismarck, ND with her family while still in school. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1992 and the University of Mary, Bismarck, in 1996. She majored in Communications and English. She met her husband in college. They have two children, Summer and Ty. This book is for them. "I remember how much I loved to read when I was a child. I would get so excited when they'd pass out our book order form. Just looking through the leaflet made my week. When I'd finally get my books, I'd read them over, and over, and over, and over again. I'd take in all the words and soak up the illustrations. It was like magic. I'm so excited that I can provide my children that same magic. Better yet, I'm the magician."

She'd like to thank her husband, family, especially her mother, father and sister, and her friends. They've supported her in every endeavor, without much question.

She currently co-hosts "Brady and Stacy in the Morning" on Y93FM in Bismarck. She also writes news stories and produces news packages for KFYR AM. This book will hopefully be one of many to come.
