About the Book

8 year old adventurer / treasure seeker, KEEGAN CLARKE, is guided to a magical spot by a map given to him by mysterious store owner, MR. SHAMA, who in fact, is a mighty wizard. With the help of Mr. Shama's powers, Keegan is directed towards the illusive "treasure" he has always sought. Keegan reaches a cliff on the beach and begins to dig, not realizing he is followed by REYWAL HERBERT DE' KOORC, the "greatest criminal genius in the entire world" and his rebellious robot sidekick DATSLOB. Thanks to a magical stone Keegan finds, the walls of a cave open and with the help of a large wave he is swept inside as Reywal and Datslob watch. He comes across a glowing section of the cave replete with geometric glowing crystal patterns. Keegan places a magical stone given him by Mr. Shama into the missing piece of a stone puzzle and brings to life GREANWOLD and 6 MINOSAURS (ancient miniature friendly dragons) who can also morph into Krystils that allow time travel.

Having accidentally released the 7 Minosaurs and the vengeful wrath of their arch nemesis, MOA CONSTRUCTOR, a creature as evil as the Minosaurs are kind, Keegan is saved from certain death by Greanwold. Later, Reywal enters the cave and meets the very evil MOA CONSTRUCTOR. Together Reywal and Moa conspire; in exchange for returning the Minosaurs, Moa promises Reywal unlimited wealth and power if he will capture the Minosaurs / Krystils and hand them over.

At the end of the day, good wins out over evil as Keegan, his brother CODY, sister JACKIE, and friends PARKER and LISA-- and of course Greanwold and the mysterious MR. SHAMA-- save the world.

About the Author

Michael Trigg was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1943. he began a career in the automotive business in 1960 and after completing his apprenticeship, travelled around Austraila and New Guinea. After a brief stint back in his home country he arrived in Vancouver from New Zealand in 1969 and worked in management capacities primarily in the automotive business, traveling extensively around Canada and the United States. In 1970, he completed a course in radio broadcasting and returned to New Zealand to work as a disc jockey. He returned to Canada in 1972 where he established his own automotive business that he sold in 1989.
He and three partners encorporated a publicly traded company in 1991 on the then, Vancouver Stock Exchange, and sucessfully carried out an IPO for the purposes of manufacturing a line of children's toys and games.
First Entertainment Corporation began trading in 1992, manufacturing and distributing a variety of proprietary children's entertainment products in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Around this time, Michael first conceived of the idea for a children's TV series and developed and wrote a TV pilot for what was to become Greanwold. He had at this time developed an interest in TV production and Licensing and Merchandising and enrolled in the course at the Vancouver Vocational Institute.
Resigning from First Entertainment in 1994, he was hired in a freelance capacity by Northwest Imaging, a TV special and visual effect company, to develop a production and distribution arm. During this time he acted as Executive Producer for two documentaries, one entitled Someone Else's War on Canada's involvement in Bosnia and The Empress of Orient on the Canada Pacific shipping line. After his contract was completed, Michael was offered a position with BTV Productions Inc, an English company setting up business in Vancouver. He acted as Executive Producter for Metro Cafe, a half hour ongoing entertainment series of 39 episodes and as Executie Producer in the development stage of two television series entitled Blackcomb and Tangle.
The idea of Greanwold had been put on the back burner for several years but was resurrected in 2000. Michael, in co-operation with some associates determined that a computer-animated film was the preferred route to get Greanwold produced. Michael wrote a film script and is now raising financing to produce a Greanwold film for theatrical release, to be produced in Ireland and the UK. Greanwold is his first children's book though he has plans for an ongoing series based in the same character.

Michael is curently residing in Vancouver, Canada and is married with three adult children.
