About the Book
Madelle, a beautiful doll, begins her story when she is "born" in France before the beginning of WWII and, following a happy and pampered life with her beloved French Mama, is forced to begin an epic journey that takes her to England and then to Canada. It's a story of her trials, her ups and downs, until out of abject despair comes, perhaps, a ray of hope. Madelle raises her tear stained eyes to find love again and realizes that tomorrow just might be Sunday.
About the Author
Diana Black was born in Birmingham, England and came to Canada in 1967. She came to Victoria via Oakville and Niagara On the Lake. Diana is married to Jim and has inherited 2 daughters, 2 sons and 8 grandchildren. She has always loved to write , but could never find a project that she could call her own. That is until she bought an antique doll at a garage sale. There was something about the forlorn little doll that reached out to Diana. What appears at first to be beyond repair can sometimes be mended, even a broken heart.
