About the Book

He Is Always With Me is Ms. Howard's first adult book and is a reflection of her life and religious studies. No matter what problems we face the Lord is always with us to see us through. The book deals with emotions that we have all felt at one time or another.

About the Author

The author was born in the small town of Enville, Tennessee. Her family moved around and finally settled in Caruthersville, Mo. where she attended all twelve years of school. She came to know the Lord at an early age and has always felt His presence in her life. Leaving home she served in the United States Air Force between 1962-65. She later returned to her hometown to marry Thomas Howard. After twelve years of marriage, he was killed in an automobile accident.

Ms. Howard now lives in Memphis. She is a teacher-librarian at Locke Elementary where she uses books as a stepping-stone to open the child's imagination and to enlighten students about the world around them. She has two grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters. In 1977 she received her library certification from Memphis State--now the University of Memphis. She went on to get a Masters in Business Education and +45 in Administration and Supervision. While attending Memphis State she devoted several years to studying religion and considers herself a student of the Bible. She serves as a book reviewer for Linworth Publishing and Foreword Magazine. Ms. Howard conducts workshops for teachers and librarians, and is very active as a professional storyteller. She has written three children's books, The Little Red Rooster, Grandpa's Gift, and Idama Tells Time.
