The National Liberal News Media/Liberal Democrats

Most Americans depend on the national news media to supply us with the truth. We have always taken it for granted that what we read or saw on TV in the news is the truth. Boy, are we stupid for doing so. I am starting to think that they lie when telling the truth would be better. We want the truth not their slant on the truth or an outright lie. In this chapter I will be writing to the national liberal news media and liberal Democrats, which have turned into one and the same.

Viet Nam is a prime example of lousy reporting and not telling the truth. You told us how our troops were using drugs and not the fighting force that we thought they were. Our fighting men were demoralized and fragging their officers. You made it seem that it was incredible that our men could even fire a gun. You were lying and you knew it. You did everything you could to undermine our effort in Viet Nam.

During the Tet offensive in 1968 your reporting had the U.S. and S. Viet Nam as the losers. You reported that the Viet Cong were everywhere and that our troops took a terrible beating. It was just a matter of time before the war was lost. You lied to us. You made the U.S. population feel that we were just sending troops into a meat grinder. In truth the Viet Cong went into a meat grinder. They got their butts whipped at every turn. The U.S. soldier proved he was much better than either the Viet Cong or the North Viet Nam regular soldier. The Tet offensive was a huge victory for us.

Let's put it in real terms. We lost about 55,000 men in Viet Nam. They lost about 1,000,000. That is about a 20 to 1 ratio and yet you made us think that they were real good. We have about 2,500 missing in action and they have about 300,000 missing in action. These are figures that I hear. Make me wrong, send me the figures to refute this and show me how good they were.

I don't think that we should have ever fought in Viet Nam. You never printed why we should not be there because your beloved Mr. Kennedy was in office and it was "Camelot." Do you remember? Do you remember when Madam Diem came to this country screaming that Mr. Kennedy had her husband killed? You printed her up as an idiot. You had to protect "Camelot."

Do you remember the picture of the year? The South Viet Nam police chief executed a Viet Cong during the Tet offensive in the street. The picture was perfect for you as the gun had just gone off and you could see the effects on the Viet Cong. You alluded to that the police chief was an animal; the executed never even got a trial. How could we support such animals? You left out the part that the police chief had just found his family murdered, executed if you will. If I had been him I would not have used that little pistol to do the job, I would have found a shotgun and blown his complete head off. Why don't you just report the truth? That is what we are looking for! We don't need your slant or crap that is not true.

The Political Parties

When it comes to foreign affairs the Democrats remind me of Neville Chamberlain before World War II. Just give the ruthless, murdering, invasion prone dictator more help and he will turn out to be the nicest guy you ever met. Kiss his butt at every turn and he will reward you. Why do you think we had 9/11? Mr. Clinton kissed every butt and we paid dearly. His administration lowered our leadership to depths we had never had before. I think for history purposes we should name his administration the Ostrich administration. He put his head in the sand. Mr. Clinton lowered our moral and ethical standards to the point of being disgusting.

Opinion Polls

Because of the way polls have been done I no longer has any interest in what the results are. They are a waste of my time and I don't believe them. They are nothing more than a propaganda machine for liberal Democrats. It tells them which way the wind is blowing so they can change their stance on any given subject. Have you ever noticed how many times a Democrat changes his views? Roll with the flow and try to get more votes.

War

Have you noticed that it is the liberals and Democrats every day who are screaming that Iraq is quagmire and we are losing our troops at a tremendous rate? What war has a Democrat gotten us into that we didn't lose over FIFTY THOUSAND men? Even losing one man is a tragedy not only for this country but also for his family. Is Iraq worth the effort? The answer is yes!

President Reagan

Communism was spreading all over the world with the revolutions being backed by the Soviet Union, China, and Cuba. The liberal Democrats and liberal news media were harping how those countries were deciding their own destiny. That was a lie and they knew it. Those revolutions were creating boat people and mass exodus from those countries. The murder and mayhem was incredible.

When President Reagan threw the might and force to stop the aggressions you would have thought the USA was the exporter of revolutions.

If he had listened to the Democrats how many Central and South American countries would be under a communist dictator today? If he had listened to the Democrats how many Eastern European countries would still be under communism today? If he had listened to the Democrats would there be more Caribbean Islands under communist rule? If he had listened to the Democrats would the Soviet Union be bigger and stronger today?

The Death Penalty

I absolutely love people who are opposed to the death penalty. Many of these people are for unlimited abortion but are against the criminal death penalty. It is a twisted mind that thinks like that. They are against the death penalty because there is a remote chance that the convicted person may be innocent, but it is ok to allow abortion when they know that 100% of the aborted are innocent. Have we really had 40 million abortions in the last 30 years? Can that be true?

This is a thrill. How many people have lost their butts on this deal? Aren't you impressed with the performance of the market and the performance of your broker? It has really been good for you. Just hang in there, it will come back, maybe not in your lifetime; ah, you can leave it to the kids. As The Stock Market went down your broker was doing everything to protect you and that included a lot of transactions, which you got charged for every time. Isn't that cool? You are losing your butt and he is still making just as much money or more than before, but he is for you.

When I grew up you looked at "return on investment." When The Stock Market started going up, we forgot about that. Our investments had a great return on investment. Many of the stocks did not pay dividends. That means that you invest money, and if the stock does not gain or lose value, you will make nothing. Doesn't it make sense that when you make an investment or someone makes an investment for you that it will have a return on investment? Did you want just a gamble on the price? That sounds pretty dumb to me.

There are many things that you can invest in. I bet every option that you look at you ask what is the interest rate, yet when you turn things over to a stock broker you accept what he does for your 401K. Somehow you think he is smarter than you are. He went to college and got his degree. He went to work for a brokerage firm and became an expert. Do you believe that? Now that we know some of the tricks they were pulling we are not so sure of their expertise. They kept making money and you lost your butt!
