About the Book

Many stories have been written and movies made of the astronauts and the Apollo flights which the world is privy to, but to my knowledge nothing has been written about the thousands of people in the back shops of manufacturing plants throughout the nations that gave their blood sweat and tears to create these spacecrafts in a short period of time. Their story needs to be told.

About the Author

Curtis Ferren was born and raised in a small town in New Hampshire along with eight siblings and went through the required schooling. Curtis worked for a couple of years, and at the tender age of twenty-one joined the US NAvy and served in the Navy Airforce in WWII. He married while in the service and after the war went to work in one of the back shops of North American Aviation in Los Angeles, California. At that time the company was making jet propelled fighter planes for the US Airforce. Curtis worked through the ensuing years before landing in the manufacturing engineering department assigned to the Apollo program at the space division. He currently resides in California.
