About the Book
A young man from Newfoundland travels to the Cariboo region of B.C. where he becomes a reporter for the Cariboo Sentinel newspaper in 1865.
About the Author
Branwen has lived in the Cariboo since 1944, and in Quesnel since 1960. She has become a valuable volunteer at the local museum. Branwen is also the author of several other books about the early days of the Cariboo goldrush, including a two volume history of roadhouses entitled Trails to Gold, a pictorial book of Cariboo history entitled Golden Nuggets and her first historical novel entitiled Ruby Red & Goldrush Yellow, published by Trafford in 2003.
