About the Book

Mac is a cat without a home.  He has been wandering and adventuring on his own for quite some time when he decides he needs a home where he is safe and warm.  He is looking rather scruffy in appearance but he finds someone who takes him in and gives him love.  This delicately illustrated story is about caring and trust and it fits in well with the "Character Traits Program" currently used in many elementary schools.

About the Author

Wendy lives in the country in a small farming community in Illinois. This is her first book and it truly was inspired by her cat, Mac.  Mac had decided before she did that her house was going to be his home.  Wendy already had a dog and was not sure she wanted a cat too.  One day Mac literally clung to the back of her coat as she was walking into the house.   He finally won over her heart one chilly morning, with his determination, when she saw his cute little face peering in at her as he clung to the screen of the kitchen window.
