About the Author

Alberte Decarie took three years in literature and Latin at the Sault. She studied art under Messrs Lismer and G. Roberts at the Montreal Art Gallery and Botany under Bro. Marie Victorin at Université de Montreal. She furthered her education at the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC.

In 1983 and 1984 she contributed weekly articles to the South Okanagan Review. She has writen and illustrated a book entitled Food and Drink in History © 2003.
